Cheap, works, but missing volume control.
Jeremy✓ Verified Purchase•October 13, 2023
This was cheap and easy to set up. I'm using it to broadcast my TV to my Apple AirPods. Because the TV has to be set to "audio out", the volume control is supposed to come from the audio device. While it does it well and is a good value, all this thing does is transmit (or receive) bluetooth audio... and there is no volume control. So unless you are using it with a sound bar or speaker system (I just ordered a sound bar, we'll see how that goes), you are stuck on one volume. It's just a bit too quiet, so it's a bit annoying but you get what you pay for. It's probably just not meant to be used with AirPods.
It also doesn't have a digital readout or anything so pairing AirPods with the device is difficult and takes several tries and fussing with the buttons to get it to work.

Reconnects instantly on both headsets

These are Great 5.0 Love them easy to use just had to switch the lever to Fiber Cable spdif or what ever it was and to TX. Connects both blue tooth head set in a few seconds (5 seconds so do not hurry it) and the great thing is when I turn off the headset at the headset and turn it back on it connects automatically. Great product for 2 headsets.
Far better than expected - does everything it promised

I don't like to think I am easily impressed, though I might be wrong about that, but this adapter far exceeded my expectations. I recently purchased a different brand of adapter that promised no lip sync latency and up to 230 feet of range. It paired easily and worked very well, but the range was about 20 feet at most, and the quality of the connection actually started to fail at at about 10 feet. It also turned out to have significant lip sync latency problems (only and issue if you connect it to a tv). The seller did say that both the headphones and the adapter had to support AptX, but really that is another way of saying it probably won't work, but it's not my fault.
After that, I was not expecting much when I ordered this unit but I thought I would take another chance. WOW!! It arrived this afternoon and I charged it for 2 hours before I tried connecting and pairing my headset. The headset paired without issue and I checked out the lip sync issue first. My headphones are inexpensive ones and do not have aptX, so I expected some sync issues but was amazed to find that there is virtually no lip sync issues even with a cheap set of headphones. I next tried out the range and found that I started to have connectivity issues at around 30 feet but that is with a brick fireplace between the headset and the adapter. With only walls, I could easily get 40 feet of range without any problems at all. I did mount it as high as I could and it isn't close to a router, so that could make a bit of a difference.
All in all, I am very happy with this adapter, and would recommend it to anyone looking to add bluetooth connectivity. And at half the price of the other unit that I tried, it is an excellent value.

Bluetooth receiver works while charging

Small rechargeable bluetooth transmitter and receiver with polished surface. It even comes with a short optical link cable that you can link this unit to your device's toslink port (the one with red laser light). However it is a bit short (maybe 2 ft at most), so this unit needs to be put very close to the instrument. For my purpose, I only need a receiver so I will focus on the receiver part.
My issue: in law is staying with us and he likes to watch tv at late night but wife doesn't want the sound to disturb kids. In law doesn't like to pause watching due to battery running out and needing recharge. All bluetooth earphones we have tried stop working during charging.
After a lot of trials, I found this unit solving all the above headache, when coupled with an earphone that can adjust volume with built in volume adjustment (this is difficult to find as well). In law can basically use this "off grid" when the battery is full and can continue to use while connecting this unit to a USB charger. Of course, like most electronics nowadays, USB charger is not supplied.
Fairly easy to set up this unit. For me, I moved the switch to RX for receiver mode (TX for transmission, which I didn't test) and to AUX for insert an earphone plug to it (this is default. If you need Toslink, you move the switch to Toslink). To pair with your receiver, you long press the round button in the middle (the same button for turn it on and off) to get the unit to pairing mode and connect from the bluetooth transmitter (in my case, a fireTV stick). No code needed.
Battery life is decent, but probably irrelevant in my case. In law just hooks up the charger when he realized battery low.
Sound was loud, balanced and clear. Better than the sound directly from TV (most TV speakers won't be able to beat a decent earphone anyway). One thing I need to note here: like the fireTV stick, this unit does not adjust volume, so whatever sound output you hook up with needs to be able to adjust the volume. That is why I have to use an earphone with built in volume adjustment.
In law is quite happy with this setup, so is my wife. And of course, so is the entire family. :)

Item works fine for audio alone but not in combination with video recordings or live tv.

Item works but not fit for purpose. When transmitting and receiving audio for a video recording or broadcast the delay is too noticeable and lips and sound are out of sync.
