This canister exceeded my expectations. It feels well made and looks very clean & attractive, with a matte grey color that works well on my kitchen countertop. It holds the normal size bagful of coffee that I usually purchase, with lots of room to spare. The opening is wide enough to easily scoop out the coffee (much easier than struggling with the bags) and I love having the scoop hanging on the side - very handy. It seems to keep the coffee fresh inside. It has a freshness filter in the lid, and came with a few spare filters that I'm supposed to change out once a year, although I bet I'll forget where I stowed the spares by the time a year runs out. :-) It says you're supposed to keep the filter from getting wet when washing the canister, which is easier said than done. Overall, a great purchase.

Having to fill a reusable K-cup each morning from a bag was tiresome and messy. Plus I worried the coffee grounds weren't going to stay fresh in an open bag even if I folded it tight. I ordered this in the hope I could make things easier and keep my coffee fresh... and it worked! No more spills trying to fill the K-cup and the scoop that comes with it works fantastically. I am so glad I got this and I think that each morning when I use it. Best purchase ever.

I love this canister, holds a good amount of beans and keeps them fresh. It's sturdy and durable, good quality, I got it in the cream color and love how it looks. I like the calendar dial on the lid, helps me keep track of how long the beans have been stored. The measuring spoon is handy and a large size, good for scooping out beans to add to my grinder hopper. It's first-rate!

I researched and learned about maintaining coffee bean freshness. My shortlist consisted of Veken and another popular brand. I veered toward the other brand because it didn't use disposable filters like Veken and my concern was about purchasing replacement filters in the future. However the desired canister volume had a 1 month wait for the other brand and it was still pricey. So I purchased Veken instead because the 16oz canister was available immediately AND was discounted. Shipping was fast. The product includes the canister, ~5 extra filters (instructions says to replace once a year!), metal 1/8 cup measuring scoop that is stored on the side of the canister, and a date tracker on the lid (easy to set despite other reviewers' comments on its difficulty to use). It is easy to unlock the lid with one hand and quick to lock closed. I believe the Veken canister serves its purpose - helps retain coffee bean freshness, blocks the beans from UV rays, and adds a pleasing aesthetic to my kitchen counter (no more fold-and-clip coffee bags strewn about). I'm considering purchasing another so I can have a second morning coffee bean brew option.

Expensive as there are many option for coffee storage boxes in market. Good quality, sturdy, keeps you coffee fresh and smart look. Another than price no complaints.
