Great hat. It is very effective at protecting you from the heat and harmful rays of the sun. I love mine. My wife likes mine so much she made me buy her one. Now the granddaughter wants one of her own so I am buying another one.

This hat protects 360 degrees. Great protection for face, neck and ears. I use it to play pickleball and I and will not play without it!

I've worn the hat twice since purchasing it. Both times in full sun and windy conditions. The hat seems well constructed and it is very lightweight. The wide brim is great for blocking sun from all sides. I had to secure the chinstrap strings extremely tight during brisk winds to keep it from lifting off my head. That tight was extremely uncomfortable. Also, in full sun, there were moments when the top of the hat felt very hot. It wasn't all the time, but when I did notice it felt uncomfortably hot.

As I age, the sun seems to have a harsher effect on my face, especially my nose and forehead. Out in full sun for almost 4 hours one day with this hat and zero sunburn. Second day almost two hours and same result. This hat definitely will not win any fashion awards, but I did not purchase if for that purpose. As long as it does not overheat (the top part of the hat) in the upcoming summer weather, I look forward to the great sun protection this hat offers.

This hat is all you can ask for if your going to stay in sunny conditions for a long period of time. It's light, breathable with two visible side vents, and stylish. If you got a fairly big head (mine is measured 23 1/8 inch circumference) this hat will really do wonders for making your head appear small because the brim is wide. I was outdoors watching an all day sporting event in sunny 88 degree weather last weekend. Moisture does not stay on this thing. This hat provided great shade from the sun and got compliments from two women! Money well spent. No issues whatsoever. Clean is easy in the hand wash option cycle of a modern washing machine and then air drying.

I got one of these as a gift and ended up ordering 3 more for myself and family members. It's perfect for the great outdoors.
