Good, but not perfect for our dog

I had to take my very animal-aggressive dog to the vet, and she doesn't like to be poked, prodded, or trimmed. Took four of us to keep her 60 lbs. down, and I struggled to keep the muzzle in place. I was able to tighten it after a couple of attempts, but I need something a bit more substantial.

Good Quality! I'd give 5 stars if it weren't for one issue. Unfortunately the directions for measuring are confusing. Picture Shows measuring tip of dogs nose, but next to it it says, " Snout Circumference:
Measure around the circumference of the widest part of your dog's nose, just below the eyes."
Unfortunately I went by the latter and got the large size , and it was way to big.
It was super easy to return and I ordered a small, which fits. My dogs widest part of the snout is 8" and tip of snout is 6", so the small or Medium work.
So definitely measure the tip of the snout, not the widest part.

We have a 100lb German Shepard who's a sweetie to us but a little assertive with other large dogs so we got her this muzzle. It works great!! So much better than you think it would! When you first open the package it looks flimsy but she hasn't been able to take it off once by herself since she's been wearing it! And she can still easily breathe in it and doesn't seem to mind wearing it.

The last thing we ever wanted to do was to put a muzzle on our dog. He is a 13 year old dachshund who has a history of being a bit snippy. We just started having kids 2 years ago and it's safe to say he is not a kid dog. We couldn't risk him biting our little ones, so when we are all in the living areas together we put this on him. We noticed once we started putting this on him, we ALL relaxed. Even our dog. I think we were so tense and scared before of him biting our daughter we were always on edge and he could feel that.
He can still eat and drink and we give him treats with it on. Even with the wiggle room he was not able to harm our daughter when he tried to bite at her with it on. I like that you can adjust it around his nose and around his head. If we don't have it on just snug enough then he can manage to get it off. Once we tighten it he can no longer get it off. If you are in the same situation I highly recommend this muzzle! It's the best option in these types of situations and our dog really doesn't seem to mind it.

This is made well and we actually really like it but it doesn't fit our girl so I'm shipping back for a refund. I will say the velcro is very thick and I would trust it that it would stay. I love everything about it minus it not fitting and having found a WAY BETTER MUZZLE for my puppy. I went out and purchased an open cage one so she can still drink water, get her training treats and can pant if she needs to for breathing without feeling like she is holding her breath and cant breath. Imagine doing something that causes you anxiety so you breath harder. Now imagine that someone is making you close your mouth so you're now breathing faster and heavier and feel like you are going to pass out. Its kinda like beinv in a 🚿 and putting your entire head under the water and closing your mouth and you can only breath in and out of your nose while water is running all over your head and face. NOT A GOOD FEELING RIGHT? So I realized after seeing this won't fit her to find another one and that's when I found the open cage ones which will be perfect for trimming her nails. That's the only thing she doesn't like getting done and I don't want to be bit.
