This item works well due to the holes in it. You don't want a lot of flour on the bottom of your pizza dough. When raw flour burns, it tastes better and nasty.
The holes allow the flour to sift thru leaving very little attached to the bottom. Pizza comes out tasty.
The product is a bit pricey for a piece of metal, but it's the cheapest I could find when I was in a pinch to get one of these quickly.
If you like making your own pies, this is well worth getting in your arsenal.
