Simple but good.

This is much better than using the little flimsy metal stand that comes with the coils. It was easy to put the coil in the holder and lock it shut. The inner mesh holds the coil in place without breaking the coil. Plus you can easily move the holder around, hang it, or lay it on a flat surface. The inner mesh is not metal. It is some sort of fabric. While it shows burn marks the lit coil does not seem to catch it on fire. It probably would have been better if the maker colored the inner mesh brown or some darker color to hide the burn marks. Since it is not for decoration it is not a big deal. I like it. Most likely I'll get a couple more for when I go camping.
They work.

This is a must-have. My husband and son-in-law were in the garage last night working on the truck. I set up the hanging coil holders and mosquitoes immediately went away. Not one mosquito was seen in or around the garage. Usually several bugs are flying around the lights outside the garage, not one bug was flying around the lights. It works. I am going to order more.
Good product.

PORTABILITY: I garden at a community garden, not my back yard. This area sees more skeeters and gnats then my city yard. When I arrive I start the coils (I usually use two) making sure they're lit and smoking properly (under a minute) before placing in the holder.
Once in the holder I hang these from my tomato cages or my rope fencing, relative to the area I'll be working in. I give it about 5 minutes to start to saturate the area. As I work around the garden I can easily move them with me. Sometime I leave the top off the holder off and just place it flat on the ground. The container (mesh) does get dark and burns over time but anyone who's used a screen for smoking cannabis can attest to this use as well.
I prefer these over spraying myself with deet which I already do when hiking. I prefer the coils that have repellent vs citronella incense sticks. The holders are helpful because they can hang instead of just being on the ground and these have done the job for me for a couple of years now.
Those questioning the safety of coils, must remember that there's a trade-off for all chemicals. Do I want a tick bite or spray with deet? Do I want mosquito bites or repel with coils? For me the answer is a no-brainer and I also try to reserve my activity to when skeeters are less active.

the extra clip is helpful but don't lose it.

couldn't find these around town so ordered and I'm happy. Work good one wire clip popped out - the burner still works fine. Finally found the near invisible wire clip and reinstalled - this should help in the future as these burners can take a beating.
