I got this for my cabinet at work. The lock is very secure. You have to know exactly where the sensor is to unlock it. Installed with help from YouTube video
4 stars- Programming Instructions Explanation Below
Jenn✓ Verified Purchase•October 17, 2023
The media could not be loaded. I really like the hidden nature of these locks. When we hosted our son's friends from college over spring break we wanted to ensure the "good stuff" didn't end up being chased with a white claw and needed to lock these swinging cabinets. We are overall happy with the final product except the left cabinet lock lags a bit. The locks won't lock unless you wait until you hear the lock reset before closing the door again. As you can see from the video, the left one takes a little longer. Just enough to be annoying.
DUAL MODE
Also the instructions were TERRIBLE. For those (like my husband) who are ready throw these things out the door because you cannot get more than 1 FOB/card to program at a time it's likely because you thought the dual mode was for two locks to share the same cards. That's not it. The dual mode allows one card (the manager) to open the lock by itself. For any other card, two cards (a service card and a guest card) must be swiped one after the other before it will open. Think of it like a bank vault. The owner of the bank can get in the vault by himself. (It's his money.) Any other employee needs to be monitored. Usually you have the person who is "in charge" of accessing the money (the service card) BUT they need another person (doesn't matter who) to be present for the vault to open (any guest card can be used) to ensure they are not stealing. Usually this mode is only used for commercial applications. If you set the lock in dual mode the first card you program will be the mgt card. The second, the service card. The third plus any other card will be set as a guest card.
SINGLE MODE
Most people will use single mode. For the single mode the first card will be the manager card (the 👑 master key). It can be used to give access to any other key. Once the manager card has been set, to add another card just swipe the manager card and then immediately any other card you want to program (you can do multiple cards in one go). Really simple.
NO MIDDLE BAR IN CABINET
We don't have a normal set up with a bar in the middle of the cabinets so we had to improvise a bit. The templates that can with the set didn't fit out use case. So I just set the lock pin first, put a command strip on the lock, put the lock on the lock pin, shut the door, and used a key to unlock it. The command strip will give you a pretty good estimate of where you need to put the locking mechanism. Pretty quick setup that way. A good tip is to make sure the cords are facing the correct way. They do tend to get caught so you may want to tape them down while you install.
As a note, we only needed to lock two of these cabinets but wanted the option for the others to appear to be locked. Given that we are dealing with teens and these can be cost prohibitive, we just bought these for the good stuff. For the other cabinets we just used the baby locks that use a maginet to open them. We will let the teens think that they are all locked with these nifty cards instead of the maginet on the fridge. 🤣

Cool gadget, but not a security device
jpn311✓ Verified Purchase•September 16, 2023
This is a cool little gadget that you can use to lock a small drawer or cabinet door. Just don't expect it to serve as a security device. While both pieces can be screwed into wood to hold them in place, a swift yank will rip them right out. It comes with multiple RFID keychain style tabs and credit card sized RFID cards as well. I was never able to get them to program more than one of the RFID cards at a time, so I had one that works and a stack that are useless. I would strongly recommend also buying a USB cable that's long enough to reach a plug or charging bank as a back up. When the batteries are close to dying the unit will alert with a tone and unlock itself. Once they are completely dead the until will remain locked and the only way to unlock it is to replace the batteries or plug in the USB cable to power. If its in a space that is not reachable from the outside, this is a major problem. This happened to me multiple times and the last time I had no choice but to pull the sliding cabinet door until the screws broke loose. The best application for these locks is hidden drawers or cabinets. They are very popular for DIY hidden valuables (guns, cash, jewelry, etc.) cabinets and drawers where the storage space remains hidden until the RFID tag is waved over the lock from the outside. The RFID tag only works through about 1/2 inch max of particle board or plywood. I doubt it would work beyond that 1/2 inch through any material or a hardwood at all. I eventually gave up on it because of the issue with it locking when the batteries died and not having a plug close enough to use the USB option.
Headache to Install but Worth It
Tiffany Allen✓ Verified Purchase•September 8, 2023
The media could not be loaded. I just installed these in my house to keep unsafe objects inaccessible. I feel like the instructions made it more confusing than it had to be. My biggest headache upon install was getting both parts in just the right position to where the cupboard/drawer closes fully and the lock latches. Easy to connect the same card to multiple devices! I love this. I don't need 10 cards floating around. We have one we use mainly and the 2nd in a private area for use if we lose the 1st card. I saved all of the extra cards and fobs for use at some point if needed. The lock is strong when it is in use. I am not trying to rip the door/drawer open but a firm tug and it doesn't budge. Overall, I would buy again. In fact, I need to buy again as I didn't order enough! Lastly, if you are using on a drawer, I would recommend getting a right angle drill attachment if you don't already have one!
Pain To Install - But Works Great

These will drive you crazy trying to get them to line up properly inside your cupboards. But once you finally get it they work great! One tip I have for you: if you plan on using batteries (I can't imagine someone having power inside their cabinets anyway) then just cut off the little power cord that sticks out of these. It just gets in the way when trying to shut the cupboard or when trying to line it up for installation.
