As you can see, my girl is not very happy with being muzzled. She just looks so pitiful! But it's her own fault. She has a bad habit of lashing out at the cats and other dogs. We were keeping our son's dog while he went to visit family with his girlfriend, and our girl was not happy with her being in the house. She tried to go after her as soon as she saw her. Luckily I had ordered the muzzle ahead of time because of past behavior even around dogs she has been around quite a lot. She has injured two of our cats, and my in-laws dog even though we've worked with her and worked on her behavior since we rescued her. Now it could have something to do with her prior owners, but I know she was around cats and dogs at her prior home and got along with them. That fact had a lot to do with us taking her in to our home with our other animals. Most times she's okay, but she has her moments. So knowing how she is, I wanted to be sure I could control her acting out when I needed to, hence getting this muzzle. She can drink in it, and take small treats. It is just a tad small in the length on her snout, but I went with the recommended size for her breed. It doesn't hurt her or anything like that, I would just prefer a tad more room for it to not sit against her nose. Though if she doesn't try to get it off by rubbing her face along the ground and grabbing at it with her paws, it will stay where it isn't directly against her nose. She settles right down once it's on too, which I'm glad of. She is well aware of when she's doing wrong, and is a master at the poor me face!! Almost makes you feel bad for putting it on her, or fussing at her when she does bad things, I'm sure many others can relate to the tootsie roll eyes and the poor me faces!!! I'm glad that is has worked for her. She has managed to get it off a couple of times, but once I tightened the strap just a little bit she hasn't been able to get it off since so that's good! If your pup is aggressive I'd recommend a muzzle, and this one has worked well for us. Our girl is a German Shepherd - Blue Heeler mix. Hope this helps someone to decide! Be well

The media could not be loaded. Edit: added one star for sizing- After ordering the baskerville muzzle as well (size 4) Keeping the medium of this muzzle. I only need it for short periods at the dog park where she can be reactive and nippy and it allows her mouth a little more movement for panting, drinking etc- but she will not be able to nip another dog. (I have another vizsla as well- they need a lot of exercise, running and our yard doesnt suffice- so I am worried about ppl judging why I go to a dog park with her wearing a muzzle - my answer is that Im doing the best I can to provide my dog the exercise she needs while keeping everyone safe. At least I am taking precautions.) The baskerville was humongous and the straps were too complicated. I suggest giving your dog small high value treats while trying them on. And dont just pop it on and leave it on. Mine actually wagged her tail when I took it back out today to compare it to the baskerville I received!.

Ordered the small and medium for a small 35 lb vizsla. They both were nearly the same length and did not give her nose the desired amount of room-
It was up against the barrier in both sizes no matter how i adjusted it. The medium was much larger circumference wise. I followed the sizing chart.

Purchased this for vet visits. When blood has to be drawn you don't want her to bite the person drawing the blood. It can fit snug and is difficult for the dog to get it off. Served its purpose well.

I've had trouble finding muzzles that will stay on my dog's face when she pulls at it, but this seems to do the trick. It fits her perfectly (Dachshund mix). I don't use it much, but it's nice to have on hand if needed.

Okay so yall this is the third muzzle I've purchased in 2 months. The others were completely destroyed by my 4 month old standard poodle pup within days after receiving. This one is by far the best one for a super smart and active puppy. Now, I got a small and it's fits his long snout just fine. The xs would have smashed his little nose. Immediately after putting it on him, he slipped it right over his head and got it off. After several attempts at adjusting it, I realized that the middle strap between the eyes made it fit too high on the head. I got some scissors and cut it off which then allowed it to adjust around the head a bit more withou pushing it into his snout. Voila! Best muzzle so far. With that being said I had to give 4 stars seeing that I needed to remove a strap for it to fit properly. Perhaps making the middle strap removable, therefore optional would have made this a definite 5 star product. You're welcome folks!
