I really enjoy the overall flavor profile of Los Calientes Rojo. It's hotter than Verde and has a very slight funk flavor-wise, which adds complexity that makes it stand out a bit from Verde which is much simpler. It's just a shame that there isn't a spicier version, because that's the only real qualm I have with it. The heat isn't quite to the level that I prefer.

Absolutely great flavor for a hot sauce. That being said, not hot. Tasty on a chicken wrap or fajita, even tacos. Tabasco hot sauce is way hotter. Cost wise, I used over half a bottle on a chicken wrap sandwich with little heat from the sauce. 5oz per bottle, is it worth it? Flavor a 10, value a 1. I bought 3, that's one per sandwich @$13.50 per bottle total cost was $40 for three. Definitely try it out if you can afford it but it won't last long. I'm a big fan of the show but the cost needs to come down.

We are fans of the "Hot Ones" show on YouTube and have seen this particular sauce in episode after episode. It seemed like everyone who tried it liked the flavor and the heat.
I bought some pre-prepared wings at the grocery store and sauced them with this sauce. It has a really nice flavor (unlike some hot sauces that just give heat and no flavor). It is slightly sweet and the heat comes on gradually. The heat hits me on the tongue and lips and isn't unbearable. On the show, this is the "middle of the road" in heat and this seems to be true to form from my experience.
If you want a sauce that delivers a nice amount of heat and lots of flavor, give this one a try!

Unfortunately, I just started experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive yesterday. I've been weak as heck and thought I'd order this to eat a burger or something with it. It smelled and tasted great at a friend event months ago and that smell carried on since. I got it today, my partner brought it to me in the bag, I took it out of the amazon bag, out of the really cute packaging it came in, and dropped it on my tiles. It exploded, both the top and bottom half of the bottle. It permeated my clogged nose and smells delicious in my kitchen. Its also in the grout and scrubbing isn't getting it out. Oh well, I'll order another one and edit my review after marinating meat with it like I wanted to.
