The trash can looks great and seems to operate fine - just rec'd it today. HOWEVER, the labels that are placed on this stainless steel, decorative item are enraging! No one wants to buy an attractive, sleek, stainless steel look for their home and leave bight blue instructional and marketing stickers on it. I wouldn't pay this much for a trash can if I was sticking this in a closet. It needs to be an attractive part of my kitchen.
I have spent 10 minutes trying to get the stickers off with my nails and am moving on to a homemade soaking concoction. It's 2023 and all the world has figured out how to make a plastic/vinyl label that easily peels off of home decor items. Please use them! I haven't used the trash can yet and my blood pressure is at the boiling point. The quality of the paper in the label is poor as it only comes off in itty-bitty fragments - the the glue quality is off the charts...IT IS NOT COMING OFF! Flip it/Reverse it!! Spend your money on labels that come off!!!!!

This looks way better than our old plastic trash can.
I have it plugged in so cannot comment on the battery life.
I've had no issues with flies getting into the trash as the lids close tightly. I've also not had issues with flies triggering the motion. I have the top one activated (btw...nice to have the motion on top or in front) and it's working well.
The lid stays open for 6 seconds which is a good time to dispose of trash but it can be a tad too long in the summer with flies around so I normally tap the close button and it closed immediately.
Attaching the bags so they are not visible using the bag holder was a faff and not something I could be bothered with so I have the bags tucked over the side. Doesn't bother me seeing a little bit of bag but if you do then the plastic bag holder may be too much of a fuss for you.

I've only had it for a day so I can't speak much on quality yet but there are obnoxious stickers on the lid and can which rip at each corner immediately. Absolutely no way you're getting those off cleanly. Can't turn around the lid to hide the sticker for obvious reasons and if I turn around the can there's the seem that runs all the way down the can and it's just not sleek looking at all because of that"¦ It bothers me so much! It is a nice counter heigh, nice for mischievous toddlers who like to chuck things in the trash like mine"¦ harder for them to reach. I like that you can have it open for 5 minutes if you use the button and then when you close it using the button it works automatically again. That's a really nice feature. I can see why this has such good reviews. Will fit a lot of trash. It takes C batteries but I like that there's the power cord option! Just such a shame with these stickers- they can really ruin that sleek look you want when you invest in a trash can"¦ Because they are quite pricey. Once I bought an automatic sensor trash can I just can't go back 😆 Let's see if Goo Gone helps.
