I've been installing a ton of cameras, and let me tell you, this thing saves a ton of time! It has a lot of features, but most importantly, can provide poe power to a camera, as well as a DHCP address so you can view it. This helps with figuring out a good place for a camera, before even drilling a hole.
It can do wire testing, although that can be cumbersome at times. It seems to have the ability to do a lot more but, thus far, I haven't explored everything. Not sure about longevity as I've only had it about a week, but I will update in a few months.

We bought this device for use at our church. It has helped me diagnose and see the video coming from the cameras both locally and at our media center. Had to pick up one of these for an install job I had. 127 cameras at a big site. I've tried a couple other monitors, and they worked, but on some, you had to spend time trying to get through their convoluted setup configurations, or the display resolution wasn't high enough, so you'd lose part of the image and have to guess if you were on point or not. this monitor worked out of the box, has most of the addons you need (though admittedly, most cameras come with needed accessories anyway). Some sort of screen protector would be nice too, though I haven't found one that fits yet.

I'm an independent IT source who only rarely does anything with CCTV but still needs to support his clients. This fit the bill for basic features and performance at a very budget price. I'm very happy. I think the best recommendation I would make for the manufacturer would be a small, basic shell case to hold the unit and it's accessories securely while preventing damage in a tool bag or box but that's about it. The rest was good. Documentation was typical but as this was a "professionally targeted" product, I don't think most buyers will need much. All in all, a win at the price point.
