I decided to mount my tv above my desk for my computer and my Xbox since I only have one tv and I needed another monitor for discord, Spotify, things like that. I already had 2 but I usually use both of them for other things. My computer only had one hdmi so I decided to purchase this. Surprisingly this was the cheapest option so I thought "what the heck i might as well see if it's worth anything I can just return it anyways." It arrives within after a couple delays (we had a lot of snow where I live so that's not uncommon) and it works! It's more than what I could ask for while I build a better pc. Although it has a little bit of input lag when using it. It's not like I need to watch movies or videos or anything THAT important on it anyways. But for $100 it could've used some work. The lights are annoyingly bright in dim or dark rooms. I sleep on my side anyways so I face away from it anyways. No audible noise from the box which is good. Sometimes the audio and mic jack are iffy but I got one in my pc anyways so I don't get much use of it. But I'm my opinion I would charge something like $60. It only has 2 usb 3.0 and 4 usb 2.0. It has 2 display ports, although I only use the one because I don't have dvi. I would rate this a 3.5/5. Needs more to it for the price but I am happy with it and won't be pitching it anytime soon.

We needed a way to connect our son's drawing tablet to our computer that already had two monitors connected. Since we didn't have an available DVI slot this seemed like the perfect solution.

At first, we struggled with consistency. Whichever screen was using the adapter would sometimes be recognized and sometimes not. I reached out to the seller and they directed me via email to install an updated driver. That worked at first but soon the problem came again. They offered to give me a refund but I wanted to find a working replacement before I took them up on that offer. I wanted to make sure it wasn't something about my computer or setup that was the problem.

Well, the other brand showed all three screens but their adapter only showed 800x600 resolution. So I went back to the Ablewe adaptor and it hasn't been a problem since. Maybe my cord was a tad too lose or something. Whatever the case, I appreciate how quick they were to help me solve the problem and how quick they were to offer a refund if it didn't work. Our workflow is now running smoothly without having to rearrange cables.

I needed an HDMI video output on my desktop to operate my Sony HMZ-T1 Virtual Reality Head Mounted Display. I did not want to install another video card in my PC. I looked around for a USB to HDMI adapter and most were around $70. This one being only $15, I figured I would give it a shot and if it was junk, no big deal.

The drivers popped on the internal flash drive. While I agree that this seems sketchy, but is actually super convenient. You will always have the driver with you. It is the way USB was originally intended to be used.

Anyway, I was impressed with this. It worked with my HMD and the video was sharp and smooth. The audio sounded good as well. I have not figured out how to get 3D working with the headset yet, so I could not test that claimed feature of this adapter. I also have not tried any intense graphics applications with it. But playing back a 1080P video was smooth and crystal clear.

After plugging it in a few times, the device emulated what the computer thought was a "disc drive" with drivers inside. I installed the windows 7-10 driver that popped up. Restarted the computer and it worked.

I'd like to add that I also tried installing other drivers from the internet and using "Driver Booster" but I can't say if those even worked or not.

Picture quality: it's fine. The only issue I have is the frame rate. When you slide things around the screen, you will notice it doesn't move as smooth as your regular monitor. If you want to play high frame rate games on here, be prepared for a bad experience. If you want it for just another screen to see spreadsheets, its totally fine. If you want it for gaming, you'll be disappointed.

First...do not install the drivers from the mini CD. Either get the driver from the seller (since Amazon will not allow http links in the review) or the driver is on the adapter itself. Plug in the adapter...the adapter will show up as an external USB drive...in my case...G...on the device are three files....look for the Windows7-Windows10_v1.0.0.1.exe file which is the driver that works so far. If the driver on the mini CD was loaded, then the only way I could uninstall was to open "task manager" and end the "Windows USB Display" task and then do the uninstall/restart. Here's the caveats...the extended screen is a little lagging so do not expect gaming performance....also...if there are any open windows on the extended screen and the computer goes to sleep, the open windows will move to the default screen which would be "1". I could not drag the windows back to the extended screen. The only way I could get the open windows back to the extended screen where they were before is clicking on the "maximize" icon in the upper right. Oh and the last thing...after waking up the computer...the extended screen does take a little time to reappear...might be my old laptop but don't jump to conclusion that the adapter is not working if the screen does not appear right away. Customer support, Alice, was a great in helping me to get this adapter working. GLA...hope the above helps.
