Use this like watercolor paints with a good amount of water for a higher pigment. I was reading the reviews and was a little confused at first because the product doesn't come with instructions on how to use it. This is not oil based paint that easily comes out!
Dip your makeup sponge into fresh water, soak, squeeze, and then soak up a bit more. Rub the sponge into the paint to get a darker color. Conversely, you could just add a couple of drops of water directly to the paint to activate it.
When I got the hang of it I could apply it to my three year old without fuss or hard time taking off.

I was quite surprised when I received this face paint"” and to be honest, thought I was going to be disappointed. At first glance, it looks like an eyeshadow pallet, and has similar ingredients. I purchased the paint to use on my children this Halloween, specifically to paint my son's face like an Oompa Loompa. I decided to give it a test run, so that I could determine whether or not I would need to pick something else up, and not be stuck with something that wouldn't work at the last minute.
With all that said, I was pleasantly surprised. It works. The darker colors work the best, and give a very full, bright coverage. The lighter shades are a bit streakier, and require a bit more layering, but over all, I was satisfied. Another concern was that it wouldn't hold up to the wear of a 5 year old, but unlike traditional face paints, this one doesn't crack and flake, making it a pretty good option for younger faces! Don't discount this face paint at first glance! It does the job!

This face paint is awesome and versatile. It's just very thin and watery as well, so you have to do lots of layers. You just mix it like watercolor paints and you're good to go! I really like it now that I've gotten the hang of it, but it definitely takes some time to practice and get it right. The black and colors are nice and thick, but the white is hard to thicken up.
Also. SO hard to get off. I had to scrub my face, shower, and still scrub at my eyes with a makeup remover wipe for a long time before I was clean. I think I still look a little bit like a raccoon.
So, be warned. If you're careful this can be an awesome set to use. You just have to know this it's a big time commitment!
But also, guys, look how well my Halloween costume turned out!

This product is advertised as face paint when it is makeup/powder. Mostly an eyeshadow. We had a Halloween event this weekend at our local zoo and thought to try it out for the "scary" clown outfit for my 9 year old daughter. Well I'm glad we did because after opening you realize it's not face paint at all it's powder. So the teal green had to be applied a lot to make a triangle on each . It is not even the colors advertised and it's eye shadow. Also did not get any of the stencils at all.
