In choosing a new bedside clock/alarm, this exceeded my expectations. I love the auto-dimming option, so it's brighter during the day and automatically dims at 9pm for overnight. I knew the time numbers would be larger, which is great, but even the smaller displays are clear. I love that it includes the date, as well as the room temperature. Simple to set and operate. There are two USB ports on the back, but one of them is for the power cord, leaving the other one to charge my cell phone overnight. We may order again for another room of the house. Recommend!

Ive been using smart clocks for my bedside clock for a few years now, but, both clocks I've had (Echo Show 5 3rd gen and Lenovo Google Clock) had ran into issues that make it inconsistent and unreliable. Rather than dropping $65 for a clock i only use half the time, I decided to instead opt for just a normal clock. Specifically one with the date and that i didnt have to do too much setup work. And thankfully, that was this clock.

When I plugged it in, it took a second to start up, but once it did, it immediately showed the correct date, and time, eliminating most of the prep work! ... keyword, mostly. Once it was plugged in and set, i noticed the clock was already 40 seconds off from my phone, so i ended up having to set the clock so it can be in sync with my phone. But now that its in sync, everything is working correctly!

Now for the other features:
-Size: I was surprised by how small this thing actually was. In the product pictures and even most of the review pictures, it seemed much bigger than it actually is. It being small is not a bad thing, but the way the pictures make it seem, make it look much, much larger than it is.

-Temperature: According to the Manual, the temperature has a deviation of +/- 0.1F. But when compared to another thermometer (Acurite and Thermopro) The temperature was actually about 0.5F off. Its not a huge difference whatsoever, and its fairly accurate, which is good, because youll know what the temperature is in your room at a glance at night.

Humidity: I think this is the biggest flaw with the clock, or at the very least my clock. According to the manual, the deviation for the humidity reading is +/- 2%. But when compared to another thermometer, the reading was anywhere between 4-6% off on average, sometimes as high as 10% off. The hydrometer on this clock is not the best, which also calls into question the little comfort indicator to the left of the humidity reading's accuracy. If you don't have another hydrometer in your room or nearby, this will probably service you will enough, just know that the reading is likely off by a bit.

-Moon Phase: I can't say i've had a clock that showed the moon phase. Its not something I pay attention to, but if its your thing, it should be reliable enough.

-Readability: Despite how small it is, the display is very bright and readable. You can easily make everything out from the date, to the temperature, and especially the time.

My use of this product is exclusively as a family room table clock (so I have no interest in or experience with its 'bedroom' features). I'm extremely pleased with product for my purpose. I decided to implant the back-up batteries before plugging it in, and almost amazingly, as soon as the 3rd battery was loaded it came to life with the correct time and date and was busy calibrating temp and humidity. The automatic Daylight/Standard time switching is a nice feature. The display is very clear with its 'time' visible from a significant distance.

You have to choose between character display color and clock features. I went with features despite preferring orange over its white characters. Small sacrifice though considering how good the clock is.

The font size is awesome. Easy to see at night. I also love the lighting options... can adjust brightness as necessary. It comes preset to Eastern time zone and is supposed to adjust when time changes. Love both the date and temp. Although I don't think. if the temp is accurate for outdoors and is moreso room temperature. Very easy to set alarm. I'm pleased.

I have had this new nightstand clock for about a month, and so far I love it! With my OLD clock, I had to manually adjust the time every month or so as it would be off by a few minutes, manually adjust for DST and the battery back didn't work. This time I did some comparative shopping on Amazon. I read the specs/features and reviews for about a dozen clocks suitable for nightstands.
Features I love about this new clock are as follows: The size is just right (a slim footprint) for my nightstand; there is an auto-dim where the display dims at night but is nice and bright (easy to read) during the day from any corner of the room since the numbers are large; I love that you just set your time zone and the time automatically stays accurate (so far matches the time on my mobile phone); auto DST; battery backup; date and temp (I agree with another reviewer that the display temp is a few degrees higher than shown on my thermostat in the room, but I can live with that); and the design is well thought out in not wasting space or expense adding a radio. There is an alarm feature I haven't tested since I use my phone. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
