I like the product. It works very well for the short time I've had it. The thing to note is that the timer is a little different than expected. Whenever you set it to automatically run, the timer restarts after the fog has finished, so you'll have to reset it once in a while (or very often) if you want it to work at specific times. For example, I could set it to go off every 4 hours for 2 minutes. If it goes off at 7am the first time, the second time it'll go off at 11:02am, the third at 3:04, etc. So in about 6 days, your fogger is going on off an hour later than you originally started on monday.

It's not a major issue for me since I only have it in use for one reptile: literally just a few buttons presses on the weekend and job is done. However, I can certainly see it being a bit tedious and frustrating for those keepers with dozens of animals.

This fogger is great, it doesn't help with soil humidity so misting is still required if you have an animal that needs it to be humid underground. I'm using this for my blood python, and I live in the desert so normally I have to mist multiple times a day. With this unit, I only have to mist once a day, and if I miss a day my substrate isn't bone dry when I get to it. The timer functions etc are great,
but I quickly stopped using them and switched to a humidity controller, which keeps the humidity from swinging wildly like when you mist. This unit works great with the controller, just make sure it is set to continuous.

However, like many others have mentioned, I eventually ran into a major problem. After working perfectly up to this point, the unit suddenly started leaking like a sieve. I filled it and less than an hour later all of that water was in my carpet. After researching I came across a video from the manufacturer on maintaining the unit. The video pretty much just says take it apart and clean it, and really only mentions one other specific thing. It says to push down on the little spring at the bottom of the tank, remove the little white gasket that pops up inside the tank, and thoroughly clean that entire assembly. Upon removing those pieces I discovered two things: that little gasket is the only thing that controls the flow of water from the tank to the base and that the bottom of the gasket was covered in grime to the point where it could no longer seal. After cleaning the gasket and replacing it the unit was suddenly back to operating flawlessly. You should still clean the rest of the unit as it holds water and like anything in constant contact with water it will eventually get nasty. The unit can be cleaned fairly well to operating condition with just a sponge, however to really clean it well you will definitely need some tools to get into small spaces such as brushes and pipe cleaners or something similar in various sizes.

Manufacturer recommends cleaning thoroughly at least once a month. As long as I do that, I haven't run into any problems with this unit. Please note that the unit has to be taken apart when you receive it as there are foam pieces in the base to prevent it from being damaged during shipping. If not removed they will also cause leaking.

I bought this because it has very good reviews, but the one I received won't even turn on.....
Update: A few minutes after writing this review I tried plugging the unit into another outlet and it worked, apparently I jumped the gun, LOL

Ok so this has been working out great after a little modification.. what worked best for me rather then the one open end blowing mist in at one spot, I closed of the end and laid it across the top of my tank. Then melted holes in the under side of tube so the mist came out of multiple locations on my tank rather then straight down the center.
3 easy setting
#1 - how often every 1hr,2hr,3hr ends at 4hr
#2 - how long mist time is from 2min up to 30mins
#3 - the density of mist 3 setting.. The setting in the picture is setting 3 or High

The media could not be loaded. For the longest time I had no idea how to properly control the humidity for my ball python. They like it pretty moist. I would mist at least daily, and to no avail. I travel a lot for work and this helps regulate the humidity when I'm gone, so no more desert humidity when I come back home. I didnt initially think I could get this machine, but now I'm glad I did. It holds about a gallon of water and the fact that it can be filled w/o taking the top off is grand. The low water indicator has both a "beep" noise as well as a red indicator light. This system offers 3 mist settings ranging from high, to med, and then low along with various times that the mist will last each time. The video shows the highest fog setting. The loudest part of this system is when you touch one of the soft touch buttons. Aside from that when its misting the terrarium, it sounds like a gentle hum, barely. You can easily sleep through it if this is placed in a bedroom. Settings are easily adjustable and it can be connected to humidity device so it would turn on when humidity reaches a certain level. Size is a bit bulky, but given that it holds a gallon of water, what more can you expect. It's out of the way and doesn't interfere w/ normal day to day activities.
