Helpful in the early days of surgery!

I have a VERY active hunting dog...and the Prudaloo was NOT doing well with the cone of shame. I am so grateful that we ordered this suit!
She has not tried to lick of chew her incisions at all! She seems quite content in her suit.
Just be sure to block any exit to the outdoors while wearing the suit as it has to be opened up at the rear for the pups to go do their 'business'.
I would suggest this coat to all my friends that are looking to have surgery for their pets!
SUPER product!!!

Ok so my big guy is my service dog. He has had to have 2 life saving and seriously changing surgeries in 9 days. I actually ordered a total of 4 of these in 3 diff sizes, he's BIG but had lost a lot of weight with being sick and the surgeries. The 2 biggest I ordered will fit him when he gets all his weight back on. The other 2 fit him now, 1 snuggly (no pun intended here) and the other with a bit more room.
I use a disposable doggie diaper with pads in it, then the re-usable Pet Parents XL black doggie diaper over that and finally the surgisnuggly over it all as it helps everything stay in place better. My big guy has half his body shaved also from the surgeries, so all of a sudden he gets cold, this helps him to be more comfortable as he also wears his service dog harness. I also do not want his harness rubbing him and maybe causing a sore (never been an issue before) as he is used to his hair between the harness and his skin... I will also add the 2nd surgery my big guy had done is known for having cont bloody drainage/urine leaking for weeks after it.
So when we went back for our 2 week checkup at MedVet, they were thrilled with how everything looked and his bloodwork. The specialist surgeon came in to see us (I just love love love this man as he saved my big guys life!) and made a point of asking me about the surgisnuggly suit! Said he had never seen anything like it before! I told him it was invented by a vet and bought it on Amazon! They actually put in his discharge instructions to keep using it!!!! LOL Surgisnuggly people, you better gear up your productions as you might just be getting a lot of referrals LOL
So do make sure you follow the measurement chart taking into consideration if you will be using things like the diapers.... These remind of sleazy sleepwear for horse. They are simply put FANTASTIC! If I could give this 10 stars I would! Now I did still use a cone collar when I was sleeping as there was just no way I was risking him getting to the surgical sites and ruining $25,000 I spent saving his life. But as long as I was awake and with him to watch him I did not need the cone collar on him, and he had better access to his food and water that way.
It is very simple to use, and did not even phase my big guy when I put it on him. But then again nothing phases him except if you know anything about rotts then you know they would rather die than go potty in the house! So it does greatly bother him when he could not control his urine. When he needs to go out to potty (which is frequent) you just undo the straps and take it off the tail which his is docked, then fold them up and put into the "pouch" on the back, then roll the entire thing up his back enough so it can not get pee'd on and is secure. This suit is VERY stretchy so it gives and moves with them easily, it is thin material and breathable but it's not so thin you can see through it. It is the height of summer here now being VERY hot/humid and it does not bother my big guy.
I just can not say enough good things about this thing! I will prob order more as I will cont to use them even once he is completely healed anytime we leave the house. This entire mess started after he got a bladder infection which, he got after being with me a couple days at the hosp when I needed to have tests done. My boy's nether regions will never come in contact with a strange floor again!
I do not know that this will completely take the place of using a cone collar for right after a surgery, but it has been a wonderful addition to my big guy's post surgery care and as he continues to heal and for valid reasons in the future. They are also very easy to wash. I do them by hand in a bucket in the tub with small amt of tide, I let them soak and then agitate well by hand, rinse VERY well then slightly wring them by hand. I hang them over a hanger in front of a fan and they dry pretty quickly. If you are going to wash them in the washer I would recommend using a washing bag or throw it inside a pillow case and tie a big knot in the end of it. Same if throwing into the dryer and use soft heat. This way it is protected from being wrapped with other clothes/stretched out/velcro sticking to other clothes.... Also these are bit pricey, but my big guy is worth it all for all he does for me everyday as my service dog!
As always I do honest reviews of the items I buy. I do not get things for free or reduced price in exchange for a good review. I depend on honest reviews to help me decide on my purchases too. I hope this helps you if you are in need for your furry best friend!

My 6 month old Husky got spayed a few days ago. We have had her in this shirt for the last 5 days without issue. It fits her well ( i did order the first one too small) I exchanged for a bigger size, the company handled it without issue. She doesn't' even notice she has it on, she doesn't mess with it, tug or chew on it, It seems comfortable for her. I would buy this product again it is a well made, works like is should and it is made in America.
GSD approved!

My girl is a kicker & licker! She HATED the cones and we knew she tolerated clothes fine. This came in so handy! I most definitely suggest measuring your doggo before ordering (which I did!) my 61lb 16m GSD was an XL long. I didn't think the long length would actually be necessary, but it was. We did wash it about every other day & she wore it for about a week & a half. I was disappointed that the material did end up pilling in some spots. She was used to wearing a doggo diaper so this fit her similarly (but with more tail room!). The belly area was easy to use and wasn't a lot of work to check it. The color was my favorite!
Comfy!

I tried the normal plastic cone put she would just stand and not move, very pitiful. I ordered a different cone, I pillow cone, still no good. This suit was perfect, easy to put on and let her sleep in comfort. It velcros in the back very easy to pull up to let her potty. She is an American Hound 56.2 lbs I bought an XL.
