I have had the Marcato press for several years and love it. I needed a second press for my kids to use and I couldn't find the Marcato in stock anywhere for under $100. I purchased this one along with a variety of their beautiful disks. It's lighter weight than the Marcato, which is actually better for my kids', but it is still a very high quality press. The ratcheting action of the plunger is actually better in my opinion. The only downfall is that the plunger piece isn't flat and isn't as tight of a fit, causing a bit more dough to be wasted.
Also if you can manage to navigate their website (it is not user friendly), they offer some amazing and unique recipes!

I bought this cookie press a year ago and have used it several times. Their is a recipe for honey spritz that comes with the press that has been delightful. I have used the recipe and press with both regular flour and with gluten free flour and both work well. It is very important to use melted honey with no crystals though, since crystalized honey cloggs the press.
I was drawn to this press because it comes with animal disks and other fun shapes when most presses merely come with Christmas and geometric shapes. It is fun to have cute cookies for all occasions.
