My 24 year old cat is constantly cold. We keep a sweater on her as much as we can but she (yes, she) takes it off to clean herself and of course then she's cold again. To make sure she's always comfortable we started keeping a heating pad on for her a couple years ago.

A few weeks ago she starts crying more than usual, being more restless, not sleeping well and we figured out her heating pad wasn't warm enough. So we ordered her the Petnf Pet Heating pad.

My 24 year old cat has a new best friend! We use the provided cover but also put her blanket on top of it. After about 19 seconds of sniffing she got right on it, did a couple of circles to find the right spot and that all she wrote....super nap! In fact, she was SO comfy she would get up at first. I had to turn it off so she get up to eat and move around the fist couple days.

Now's she's used to it and she knows it's here to stay, and if she gets up it'll be nice, warm and cozy when she gets back so she's not hunkering down and refusing to leave it anymore (the little stinker).

The heating pad surface warms nearly edge to edge, which is a nice surprise. Usually only the middle of pet heating pads heat. It heats up pretty fast (under 5 minutes) to desired temperature. The anti, chew cord is definitely study and attached to the pad VERY well. It does smell like plastic right out of the box (common people, this it to be expected, was the cover before using and wipe off the pad with a VERY SLIGHTLY damp cloth, problem solve 😉).

Our Petnf Heating pad is working out nicely. The little furry girl that rules the house is comfortable and happy, what more could we ask for. Thanks for a great product!

I've set the heating pad up in their favorite chair, and just leave it on at a 2 or 3 level, 4 for a little bit if they are really chilly. I bought it with one chihuahua in mind, but the other chihuahua is the one that hasn't left the pad except for eating, playing and the occasional trip to the outdoor loo.
I OBSESSIVELY checked the temperature the first couple of days because I read ALL the other reviews that mentioned the units catching fire, and I noticed something: they were all ON HIGH and FOLDED OVER on themselves when they went up! I won't set the unit above a 3 or 4, for sure NEVER on HIGH, and NEVER allow the unit to fold over even if you have to Duc tape the heating pad down! Also, I wouldn't call this kind of heating pad "chew-proof." There is nothing chew-proof about the pad, itself. The hard kind that go UNDER a dog crate, yes. But not this soft, almost electric blanket, sort of heating pad. Other than the light-duty metal cord cover, it's not any different than the heating pad we all have used since we were kids, except the flannel cover seems to be a microfiber cover, not cotton flannel like Mom's old heating pad.

My 2 guys love to curl up on the heating pad. The temperature is much better than the old one I had. Lili likes to spread out to take advantage of every inch of pad. I love the ability to change temperature and set a timer. Unlike some heating pads, this one has the pad the full length and width of the cover. I can toss the cover in the washer and dryer.

I live in an area where the winter nights get down to the 30's , so my guys spend most of their time curled up on them. The one I have I use in the Livingroom. Next October, I'll toss the one heating pads and buy another one of these for the Bedroom.

We have actually bought 4 of these! 2 for our house and 2 for our Daughter and SIL. One of our rescues has 2 pins and 9 screws in her femur and will not take the joint supplements the vet recommended to ward of stiffness and pain. She is too young for pain meds yet so we got this hoping it would help. She has been SO MUCH more patient with her house mates, moving better, and overall MUCH happier and better quality of life with this product!

Daughter uses it for an outdoor cat as well (in a covered area) and it works great! It is out of the elements so not sure how it would do that way. Overall we are super happy and multiple cats can use it at a time! Or one very large cat can stretch all the way out.

I love these heating pads and so do my cats. That is why I have ordered four and gifted two to a local wildlife shelter. I keep the house at 68 degrees so they pretty much use them constantly as you can tell by the fur on the cover in the photos. Despite what it looks like, I do wash the covers regularly with no problems. :)

I love that I can keep these on all the time. I know when they get unplugged, because suddenly my cats want to snuggle with me (for warmth) rather than be on the heating pads. I've had great luck with the pads I've purchased lasting and continuing to perform well. I bought my first one over three years ago and it held up to when I first bought it until my foster dog sneakily chewed up the interior corner right by the cord and then it stopped working. The dog was fine, no fire (it was on when he did this). But after he chewed through the cloth and plastic covers, it didn't heat and just flashed when I turned it on. I hadn't noticed it had been chewed until I saw the flashing lights and inspected it. Then, of course, I had to throw it away. And then I bought another one due to cat demand since they don't like to share or cuddle with each other.

It looks like some people haven't had as good of quality versions. I have ordered mine at different times and found the quality pretty consistent. I have also found, for some reason, they are much hotter when the cats (or even my kindle) lay on them than when they've been unused for a few hours and then I touch them. If I have it at full heat it is too hot for the cats. They prefer the pads be kept at level four heat at all times.
