So I've eaten three of these so far and I changed my rating to 4 stars (from 3). They don't seem to cause any stomach issues and I do love the texture. Soft and chewy like cold cookie dough. It still tastes very much like protein powder and could be more tasty but if you are limited with options like me these are higher up on the list for sure.

I can't have any dairy, whey, artificial sugars, nada. I look for clean bars with high protein. These look good on paper but the taste is lacking. Tastes like protein powder in a semi solid form. Not horrible but not great. I tried the birthday cake flavor. I'm eating my first one. As you eat it and get used to the texture and flavor it's not too bad, but not mind blowing. We will see if it causes my stomach to go into fits. That's the real test.

These taste like dessert to me. In fact, I often eat them for dessert. It's very hard to find protein bars without fake sugars/sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols are HUNDREDS times sweeter than real sugar. If you spend years eating that stuff, it will mess up your taste buds and metabolism. If you stop, you can reset your body back to normal but it's not immediate. So yeah, if you switch from a fake-sugar-laden diet immediately to this, you might think these bars don't taste sweet enough because your taste buds are used to fake sugars with extreme elevated sweetness (Someone mentioned No Cow bars as being better and those bars are LOADED with sugar alcohols, incl. erythritol, stevia, and monk fruit).

Some of the low reviews here claim these bars are flavorless or taste like sawdust. However, as someone who eats a diet with no fake sugars, I'm here to tell you that if you are NOT addicted to sugar alcohols, you'll def. find these bars very sweet. There's a great variety of flavors to choose from too!
