Impossibly Great!!!

This Rockville Rock Shaker 8" Inch Black 400w Powered Home Theater Subwoofer Sub is incredible! As a Ph.D. in Engineering Technology and an avid music fan of pristine sound, I was immediately taken by this great product! From the packaging, which is the very best I have ever seen, (triple-boxed with excellent-grade quality material), to the very components making up this awesome bargain, I am impressed. Every switch, potentiometer, binding-post, knob, fuse, bottom feet, and the power cord is as good as it gets. The outside construction and finish are impeccable. BUT the Sound will knock you out! The speaker in my Yamaha sub finally went and I saw the price on this and read some reviews and thought why not? WOW, the sound at ANY volume is clear, sweet, and melow, with a touch of snap for bottom support of the music, (down to 20 Hz)! I cannot say enough about this sub, and for $85 bucks shipped Prime on Amazon, it is an outright STEAL! I challenge anyone in finding a better deal for the money! This sub competes with others costing as much as five times more! Buy this baby if you want the deal of 2020, at least so far, in the Subwoofer Market! Bravo for Rockville, all their products seem to be Top-Shelf! And bravo for Amazon again! I don't know how I ever got along before Amazon!
Unbeatable value

I've got ~8-9 audio systems in the house, varying from desktop NFC and bookshelf systems, to a 7.2.4 HT, to a $100k critical listening system. Suffice to say, I have plenty of speakers, incl. various subs. For a secondary desktop, NFC system, I wanted to run a DAC from my mac pro to drive a 2.1 layout... since I'm keeping desktop space in mind, needed something that had signal outs to use powered drivers. (no add'l amp). This is value quotient #1... try and find many powered subs with line level outputs; #2, for $100, the value is undeniably one of the best. Is the build quality as a REL, Velodyne? of course not, is it a bruiser value item as SVS, Rythmik or Monoprice? again no, but the performance is way above what you'd expect in this price range.
It's got options, and enough bass to suffice a smaller system. (8" version)

This things pretty cool. Got it hooked up to an Aiyima A07/& T8 through the speaker cable inputs (micca's), and the hi-output to my moderately awesome bookshelf speakers. It does remove some midrange and bass to the speakers which kinds bumbed me out a bit but once I tuned everything together I was pretty stoked with the end result.
Yes, it does automatically shut off after 15-20 seconds when there is no signal being sent to it (in auto mode). In On Mode you can hear a Hum sound reverberating in the room so definitely turn this thing to Auto so that hum won't irritate you.
I was super impressed by the tech-specs of this sub for the price. You can set this sub into many desirable configurations.
The sound of the 8" version is decent. It can get really low, but for me the punch is kinda small. It's still good at higher volumes but is kinda muddy. If you are looking for a pantie-dropper sub, check out the 10-12" variety. This 8" is sure to please the audiophile on a budget, or someone who needs that "extra bass" to complete their sound profile. It just doesn't have a huge presence for those louder sound systems. It's still super badass and worth every penny for that bookshelf speaker sound system on a budget.
The build quality is good. Doesn't feel like a cheap pos. I'm kinda wondering how the hell this thing is only $80. Definitely a winner.

I have 100 watt speakers but not much bass from receiver to speaker . This helped a lot with my bass response. I have a old type receiver so speaker wires go from receiver to high level in. Wire out to each speakers Hello Bass.
More box than speaker "🫨
