EASY, CHEAP, IT WORKS + STRONG PACKAGING!
Duck Moore✓ Verified Purchase•July 27, 2023
For starters, Milorganite costs $12 a bag and 35lbs covers 2,500sqft. PFG COMPLETE costs twice as much, covers TWICE the area and a little does A LOT MORE.
Think of fertilizer like vitamins for your lawn. You can take a MULTI daily vitamin or an IRON pill. Which one does more for you?
I'm a little more knowledgeable about soils than most people I know, but the soil at my new house was awful. VERY acidic. I NEVER put ANY fertilizer down until I got my soil PH under control. If your soil isn't good, you're wasting your money on fertilizer.
Once my soil was good and the temps were good, I put PGF COMPLETE on my 12,500+ sqft of Bermuda lawns.
(For anyone with a SCOTTS Edge spreader, 4.5 is PERFECT. I have the huge "ELITE" model. I like it because there's nothing to corrode, it lays fast and that edge-guard is actually an investment saver!)
The product came promptly within 2 days. VERY thick bag comes in a THICK cardboard box (this product won't be coming to you ripped or damaged! That's for sure! lol). Very professional.
I slashed the bag open in my spreader, particles are TINY! (See photos). They flew FAR because they're so light. I recommend walking about 2mph instead of "a brisk 3mph" simply because of you walk fast, the spread is very far. Heavier particles, I walk faster for this reason. But these things FLY.
Another great thing about the particles being so small is that they fall down through your grass a lot better. The bigger the particle, the harder it is for them to find their way to your soil.
I HAVE IRRIGATION. 10 zones, countless heads, 4 valve boxes, 1 control box and RAINBIRD's top model which I control and program from my phone.
ASAP: Once it's on the lawn, give it a SMALL WATER SHOWER. This will help the humic disintegrate almost immediately. It will also help the other particles "anchor" themselves. Water this every day, and YOU WILL SEE a difference within 5 days.
PREPARE TO MOW A LOT.
Also, this doesn't feed ONCE like liquid fertilizers do. This releases over SEVERAL WEEKS. If you're expecting a frost anytime soon, DO NOT USE THIS. Wait until spring to apply instead and invest in some anti fungus and pre-emergent instead. Expecting lots of heat? GO AHEAD AND LAY IT DOWN.
I've decided to share with you a before photo, an after photo, and some photos that show just how small these particles really are. Great stuff!
TIPS:
1. Fertilizers tend to NOT work well in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.
2. If your lawn's PH isn't right, most fertilizers will NOT work.
3. Fertilizers NEED WATER.
4. If you're expecting a frost, use LIQUID fertilizer. If you're not expecting a frost anytime soon, go ahead and use a pellet fertilizer.
"KNOWLEDGE IS POWER".
As always, keep your blades SHARP, keep your deck CLEAN (so you don't wind up spreading fungus when you mow. Keep a clean deck!) and enjoy the mow!

I did some research on this and it's what Augusta uses for their greens. Highly recommend my lawn has never looked this good since I used it.
TRULY AMAZED AT THE RESULTS
Clanson Trahan✓ Verified Purchase•July 20, 2023
I have lived at my newly built home in southeast Louisiana for the past seven years.
This year was the worst time that I have seen weed growth in my lawn. I was rather concerned and thought that it would be impossible to provide the proper treatment at a reasonable cost.
In mid-March, I generously used The Andersons Barricade pre-emergent. Forty-five days later I used The Andersons PGF Balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer combined with Scott's "Bonus S" Southern Weed & Feed. Then three weeks ago I used The Andersons PGF Complete 16-4-8 fertilizer with the recommended irrigation on my centipede grass.
I can now say that the weeds are completely gone and my lawn is a dark jade green color. Thus far, I am so pleased with the results!

They said I couldn't grow cool weather grass in South Carolina. Well I have been using the Andersons products and I guess they are wrong. Check out the results!
