The middle support not strong enough you will haft to reinforce it and put pop rivet n place of the weld Well worth the extra work I did it work great
Draws a lot of current

Fryer works well. It does draw a lot of power so home use might be a problem with circuits tripping, don't try to plug both heat units into the same circuit. Temp indicator is a bit off but using a probe thermometer, you can attain and maintain the desired temp. Over all works well. Construction is a bit lighter than I expected or would like but I would buy again

We used it to cook funnel cakes in our SnoBall stand. It worked wonderfully. It kept the right temperature. Clean up was very easy. We love it!
Works Great

I have used this about 10 times and it works great. Don't know what the reviews talking about sharp edges are referring to. The one I received doesn't have any unfinished edges. The pot that holds the oil should have been a thicker gauge but it works. There is no fill line so you have to just kinda guesstimate. I had a Hamilton Beach 35033 prior to this one and in comparison this one is far better. This one takes longer to get the oil hot but it holds a lot more oil. With the old one I could only make two servings of fries at a time because the oil would cool off from the frozen fries and the heating element could not keep up. This one I can drop 6 servings of fries at a time without a problem.
A fryer that actually reaches 400 degree temperature

Over the last three years, I've purchased at least six name brand fryers for home use. They all had a temperature dial that would indicate at least 375 degrees. Not one of them could get above 335 degrees. All kinds of excuses from the mfgs, but none of them could reach the temp on the dial. Recently I purchased a Breville Hot Wok after talking directly to a "product specialist" at their headquarters who assured me a dozen times that their wok would not only eat 3" of oil to 375 (with a heating dial that indicated 425 max temp), but would easily hold that temperature. After heating 3" of oil for 1 hour, the temp only reached 346. I put in one half of a hamburger bun as a test, and the temp dropped to 330, and after 5 minutes, only recovered to 335, and then never got hotter. I cleaned it up, repackaged it, and sent it back the next day. The day after that, I purchased this fryer.

This fryer (two frying wells) reached 402 degrees after about 10-12 minutes of heating. I took fries directly from the freezer into the basket, and the temp dropped to about 360 degrees, but impressively got back up to 380 within about 2 minutes, and the fries were done.

I purchased this fryer basically to make donuts, so they wouldn't absorb the amount of oil all my previous fryers would absorb. Krispy Kreme fries donuts at 355 to 360 degrees for about 45 seconds per side, and I needed a fryer that would not only heat the oil that high but have an excellent recovery rate to keep the oil from dropping below 355. This one does the trick. Very happy with purchase.
