I got these a long while back and love them. The biggest problem I had with the official cable that comes with a Dualshock 4 is that because the port is a Micro USB, the connector doesn't stay in well enough (any motion makes the connector move,) that it causes constant controller disconnection issues when using it for PC gaming.
This cable solved that problem thanks to the curved lip where the connector is. It ensures that the cable remains snug with the controller and doesn't allow it to wiggle in any way. Have not had it disconnect on me once while using it on my PC. Highly recommend.

You can't charge a Playstation controller by just plugging the USB in your wall, you will need a separate wall plug to plug the USB in. I don't need to do that when charging my phone but for some reason, you need to plug it in a standard outlet plug. May not be a big deal provided you have an extra one with proper voltage requirements.
Small QoL changes help.

I do like how flush the cord feels while plugged in, and the braided area does feel sturdy (more so than the OG cord included) yet I can't help but feel like even this wouldn't survive long with extended play sessions and poor cord care. The length is a huge plus so I find the pros outweighing the cons.. If you need a longer cord and have a couple spare bucks I highly recommend.
