This ain't bad for genuine wine vinegar. It's bright with some fruit in the nose but the wood is difficult to pick out and it's really acidic. This comes through in the nose as well as a sharp, nares-stinging experience. Off the shelf but clean. For real aged red wine flavor look elsewhere, like Volpaia or Cannonau.

I love this red wine vinegar...it's so good I use it on my salads with just it and kosher salt! Add to it that it's organic and raw (probiotic) makes it really healthy. In my head "unfiltered" makes it sound like the cloudy apple cider you see but in this case it's not cloudy at all, it looks like regular vinegar. Excellent product, I'm very satisfied...we are on our 3rd bottle!
