I was so tired of getting next to nothing using 2.4GHZ, and being that I am using Xfinity Mesh network (Xfi with Pods) then having a dual band adapter was a must. Here is the thought process....whenever you use the xfinity mesh you have to have one sid (network name). Because of this you just cant have a 2.4Ghz wireless network and a 5Ghz wireless network. I needed something that would jump between the two if one should have an issue. When you can divide the networks its easy to see which network is down and if you have a dual band radio switch to the network that is working. I did not have that ability...I only had 2.4Ghz capability on my desktop which meant every time there was a 2.4 issue then I couldn't get internet even though the 5Ghz side was working. This device fixed my issue....it connects to the 5Ghz side automatically and if I should have lose connection, it will jump to the 2.4 side without me having to do anything. With the mesh system it will connect it the pod with the strongest signal. Anyway I'm babbling so I rate this a Good Buy! It is competitively priced and delivers.

Wow, I just connected to my desktop that was having difficulty since I upgraded my router so my wife can work from home.
