Great telescope

The media could not be loaded. I'm a telescope novice, but still had great results. Phone mount work great. Took these when it was couldy. Can't wait to see it in action on a clear night. I suggest calibrating the scope during the day for a better experience.
Better than expected

Set up was easy and completed fairly rapidly. After fumbling through the cheap feeling knobs I thought I had mad a mistake with my purchase. However after once I found Saturn I was taken back by the detail and quality of the telascope itself. I could make out individual rings. I was very pleased with the product I just wish it had a better tripod and mount, for these did not match the quality of the optics.
Happy Wife

Did was a well deserved gift for my wife. She absolutely love this telescope.
I've purchased two

Actually, I've donated these to local children's discovery projects. Those who are interested in astronomy are eligible to keep these after the completion of their (home-school) astronomy program.
Easy to use, good image quality!

This is my first telescope. I wanted something more than entry level, but less than the eye-popping prices that telescopes larger than this have.
It was easy for me to set up and learn how to use. The tripod collapses, so storing the telescope is easy.
Collimating the telescope is simple. Adjusting the viewfinder has a learning curve but after a few sessions I am able to set up the telescope within 15 minutes. I really enjoy using the equatorial mount!
The eyepieces the telescope comes with are serviceable, but I think most hobbyist will be interested in finding higher-end eyepieces in time.
So far, I've used it to look at the planets, even seeing distant Uranus with the 10mm lens within the city I live in. So, some light pollution doesn't hold this thing back! Most of my viewings have been from my suburb where the skies quite dark where I was looking. Probably not the same in a major city. I've also been able to see the Orion Nebula very clearly from within my suburb.
The phone mount it comes with works! It's up to you to figure out how to use your phone camera with it though. That was the hard part, but since my first attempts I've been able to get decent pictures of planets and stars.
Overall, I am very happy with this telescope and I recommend it to anyone who wants something more than entry-level but doesn't want to break the bank.
