These retractable screen doors work great on our French doors. They were so easy to put together. Very simple and easy directions. I definitely recommend them.

After waiting years we finally bought the double. We have been using this about a month now many times a day and we are still pleased with the quality and operation. We mounted ours inside to work with our double outswing french doors.
Inside Frame installation retrofit

My wife bought this for us to install, we live in the tropics and have a somewhat unique installation challenge,
Our patio doors swing outwards and we have a grill (security gates) that swing inwards, so the only option we had was to install the screen INSIDE the concrete door frame, our home is Block and steel construction so the frame is about 9" thick (exterior wall thickness), so we had about 5" to work with, it previously had one of those screen doors on a track (damaged) which we removed.
The TOTAL height of this Brisa retractable screen is 81.5" and I realized that after removing the old track and old tile we got exactly 81.5"!
I then made up two lengths of wood 2.5 x 1.75 x 81.5" and had them painted and attached them to the inside of the frame, this is for the screen door to be able to have something to screw to (you can see on the 2nd image).
I also placed a horizontal piece of painted wood/trim against the upper track, this adds firmness to the track as well as to allow a hole to be drilled for the retaining bolt on the L/H side screen to be secured (this allows for entry and exit by using just ONE side of the screen)
After installation, I had a tiler come and install the floor tiles around the bottom track and all looks and works beautifully.... this has the added benefit of "securing" the bottom track so it does not move at all.
* Quick tip- I used painters tape to cover the track, during tiling and grouting and also used a shop vac when I was removing the tape to ensure no debris entered the track.
Very happy with it
