Easy to Build

What a great piece of furniture we added to our house. We had 707 CD's and they were spread out all over the house. We don't use the CD's but didn't want to get rid of them so we needed something to house ALL of them. I was a little nervous about the comments on the swivel piece and almost bought the heavier duty one. My wife and I put this together with no issues and for those that are reading this that are married you know this is a big, big plus. This held all of our CD's and then a bunch of DVD's We wanted to put all the CD's in alphabetical order and that caused the only issue with putting this all together. I started at the top of one of the sections putting in the CD's and then wrapped around to the next section. This caused the unit to be top heavy and started tilted to one side. To combat that I cleared some of the weight and put a heavy box under that side to keep the unit level. After that everything was good. I turned the unit several times to see how the plastic swivel piece worked and it was great. It is hard to believe when you see how skinny and flat that piece is and how well it holds up. We don't plan on spinning it much so unless you do than I think this piece will work well for you without having to buy the heavier duty one.
Great once put together!

Read the full description about how many items it stores!
I didn't get as many movies in it as I thought.
Leave plenty of time to assemble. It took me two days because there's a lot of finger tightening.
I'm 66 y.o. and if I buy another I would pay for installation ! And I'm considering buying another if it goes on sale!
Note:
Went to buy another one but it doesn't show the option for installation now.

Basically good value, fairly easy to assemble overall

I'm very happy with the space-saving quality that still provides storage for a lot of CDs. The actual capacity, however, is a little lower than advertised (maybe 5% to 10% less). Assembly is, overall, not hard. However, the shelf support pins are not easy to insert -- some very awkward because you have to press on the opposite side of the board that has a lot of give otherwise.
The completed, fully loaded unit rotates easily and quietly.
Note: Remember when planning or measuring space for the unit that your space should be larger than the base size to account for its corners going out beyond the square when rotating. If the base is 19"x19", the minimum space is about 27"x27"; if 20"x20", it's about 29"x29".

Misleading instructions, invalid phone numbers, VERY HEAVY BOX

Once I ignored the misleading instructions, it came together into a handsome piece.
I've assembled several households of IKEA products starting when I lived in Sweden 40 years ago. That's my reference point.
Only buy this if you try to follow instructions and, in doing so, relish a masochistic experience.
The instructions include a missing piece that not actually required or included and several flat out wrong points.
None of their phone numbers work. Amazon lacks a working one.
Now a month later. Thus great. My wife even lived it. Worth the assembly affro.

Use the box for an assembly platform
Gregory Peterson✓ Verified Purchase•October 3, 2023
Cleverly packed, in good condition, sturdy. Use the box top as a platform for assembly because there are hundreds of small, easily lost parts that will not be available at your local hardware store. When I finished, I had no parts left over. They count exactly the number for your needs.
Overall, just what I needed for several hundred c/d's and vis tapes. Others have stated the need for 4 sq ft...measure before you start putting it in place.
