I love this hat! If you want to put your hair in a ponytail it is nice to have the back area open to do that. I get sunburned easily and this hat protects my face. It also keeps me cool in the outdoor heat. The strap comes in handy to tighten it around your chin if it is windy outside. It folds and packs nicely. I highly recommend it!

Let's be real, most sunhats aren't the best looking and many of them are uncomfortable, at least in my experience. These sunhats look as good as the expensive ones but where they shine is in the comfort. They fit me perfectly and feel snug enough to not fall off but they're not too tight. Just right. They are well ventilated and the pony tail opening keeps your hair off the back of your neck. This is the most comfortable feature--the wide brim holds your hair back and off your neck which is so cooling. I don't know how long they will last. We'll see, but for the price I'll buy more if needed.

If you are looking for a lightweight, low cost hat on Amazon designed for women that can snap up on the sides like a cowboy hat shape, you have very few options; I know because I looked. This is a very good option.
This is the second hat I've purchased from this seller because of how much I like the first I bought in pink and gray. This time, I picked the pale putty color because I wanted a color that would match everything.
This hat has an improvement over the last I purchased: the strap at the back is not too snug. I solved that problem with my old hat on which the strap was so tight that I just left it open.
However, this hat has kept its wrinkles on its brim from being folded. The first relaxed following a good rinse in water. I've tried soaking this one and letting it dry twice now and the brim still shows the folds. I suspect I will be the only person who even notices it.
The fabric on the top of this hat is very light and the venting really does work. It is an excellent hat for wearing on the hottest sunny days. Based on what I paid, this hat is bargain and then some.
