My parents gifted me a few cans of this pineapple, and I thought it was a strange gift until I opened it! It's kind of sad that I was so delighted to see that the pineapple was actually a deep golden yellow color and smelled like real, fresh pineapple. The stuff you get at the store traditionally can be quite crunchy and pale, with very pale yellow juice. This pineapple is deeply colored, the pineapple is really soft, and you would swear you are eating fresh pineapple except that you don't have the active enzymes that make your tongue hurt. We love to mix ours with bananas, a little bit of strawberry jam, frozen fruit, and make a fruit salad with it. We had a can of traditional pineapple in our cupboard and I opened it just for comparison's sake. I hate to waste food but we honestly couldn't get through the can. This stuff is just like they say--gold.

I love pineapple and tried a few cans of Del Monte before deciding to purchase this 12 can package. I was extremely pleased that ALL 12 cans arrived undented, unlike a previous order for another brand.
In addtion to the fact the cans are NON-BPA, I like the fact their are no preservatives added and the pineapples chunks are Non-GMO. I am the only one in our family that likes pineapple and one 20 ounce can usually lasts me a week. I open the can and store them in a non-BPA storage container in our refrigerator. Generally, I eat a couple of spoonful after our dinner meal not only to top off the meal with a tasty treat but to help with my digestion which becomes more of an issue as we grow older. When I had dipped the last of the fruit out of the storage container, I pour the remaining juice into a cup and drink it later that evening. Nothing goes to waste and I have found that you get more fruit with the chunks and tidbits than with the slices. This was such a great value that I have placed it on my subscribe and save list.
