This stand is just right for us. It's very sturdy, and it was easy to assemble. We've had it for a few months now with no issues. We close the umbrella for big wind events. I don't know how well it would hold up if we didn't, but we haven't had any trouble with it during normal breezes.

So far so good! Seems heavy enough and sturdy enough to hold my umbrella in place. It has been out so far on moderately windy days and it's staying in place very well.
FYI-I did purchase separately a piece to put through the hole that secures the umbrella a little bit further.
