I just recently bought this saw. I put the battery in the charger. However, I noticed that the battery would not charge. Unlike any other charging system I have used, with this charger as the instructions dictate, you must place the battery in the charger before plugging the charger into outlet. Then you have to wait 2 or 3 minutes before the lights start flashing and the battery begins to charge. In reading some of the reviews, I think user error in charging the battery is why they were having problems.
As far as the saw's cutting ability, I used it to cut some branches using what battery power I had. Relatively thick ones 2-4", I might add. It works as design and even with low battery cut the branches like a dream. Also its light weight adds to its versatility. I easily cut a relative large 3-4" over -the -head branch with one hand . As with any saw you will experience vibration, but that is mainly due to how and where you place the blade on the limb or article to be cut. Since I have not had the saw for very long, I can not speak to its longevity or durability. But, for the price, I think it will meet my needs. I gave the rating a lower rating because of the confusion with the battery charging system.

I like that the saw is lightweight and easy to use. It does what is says it will. The battery will not hold a charge. The instructions says don't leave the battery in the charger after it reaches full charge. I left the battery in the saw with a full charge and it was dead when I went to use it again. So I left the battery out of the saw at full charge and it was dead when I went to use it the next time. Maybe I got a bad battery?
Update: 8-24-2021 I have sent the seller 2 emails so far and no response at all.
Update: 9-24-2021 Seller finally contacted me. They offered to give me a refund. I requested a good battery because I really like the saw. They promptly sent me a good battery and I am changing my rating.

I was not pleased when the device failed after only three uses. I was very pleased by the way the company handled their wattanty. The device failed in June 2023 and had been purchased in July 2022. They said they had a one year warranty and they honored it. There was no hassle and I had a new saw within a week. Very impressive!

This reciprocating saw was an excellent buy, what with the various blades, battery and charger in one package. I use it to cut palm fronds and sucker limbs, which it handles effortlessly.
The safety button which allows the start trigger to engage is in a slightly awkward position. Perhaps future designs could make it easier to push the button and engage the trigger with one hand. I could do it after some shifting around with my hand, but it was still iffy. I usually just reached up with my other hand to push the button. I have average sized male hands. Perhaps someone with extra large hands could more easily maneuver the button and trigger simultaneously.
Still, this is a great tool, and I'm glad to have it.
