I didn't know that they had home, countertop ice makers until I went to see my uncle when he 1st moved back to Colorado. He had one and it was like the most awesome small kitchen appliance. Well I found out where to buy one and I loved it for about a year. Then it started making terrible noises and the ice tasted nasty.
So I decided to get a new one. Found this one on Amazon and it was a great price. Well not only was it a great price but the ice crunches just like Sonic ice does. I eat the ice several times a day and from this machine, it taste amazing and doesn't try to shatter my teeth LOL I haven't figured out how to do the self-cleaning yet. I've had it for a few months but I knew were moving, so I was gonna wait until we got settled in the new place and try to clean it. All in all I love this machine and I hope everyone else does too.

No more messy ice cube trays! I used this machine for the last year or so and we have become real ice cube addicts because of it. This thing is a breeze. We just pour some water in and voila! we have a fresh load of ice in under 10 minutes. I really love this machine. Its easy to use, easy to clean and it makes the perfect size cubes.

This ice maker is awesome! I ordered it, hesitantly, after reading other reviews. A lot of people complained about the noise, softness of the ice and short lifespan. I expected to have a miniature airplane in my kitchen that produced a substandard product and would die in about a month. I'm so glad that wasn't the reality! It's been running steadily since Christmas with no issues. The ice is 'soft' but it's exactly the kind of ice my family LOVES! As for the noise, it's no louder than a dehydrator or air purifier. It does make a clanking sound when it drops the ice into the bin, but I don't think it's that loud. Definitely not the airplane I was expecting. After years using ice trays, this is practically heaven for my family. Everyone has ice whenever they want it, and if there isn't any available, there's ice in just a few minutes.
