These sieves are very well made, and sturdy. I use sieves in my kitchen almost every day in a variety of ways, so the 3 different sizes will all serve a purpose. For example, the smallest will be used to rinse and drain a serving of berries or grapes. I'll be using the largest one in an unusual way; turned upside down over an 8-inch frying pan like a splatter screen. The "tip" of the sieve rests on one side of the pan, and the metal part of the handle rests on the other, but the rest of the handle stays cool. The "tip" on all of these is a great feature, because if you want to drain liquid into a bowl, the tip (along with the handle) provides support and holds the sieve up evenly over the bowl.
