I think the manufacturers of brown sugar use the cheapest plastic and worst seals when packaging. Over the past few years I have struggles keeping brown sugar from going hard and these work really great to stop that. The disks are thick and solid, so not easily going to break or chip if jostled around in the bag. Soak them for 20 min, pat dry and drop in brown sugar. Withing 24 hours they have worked their magic.
