This game took my group of 4 about 2 hours. It was so fun to figure things out and it was so easy to play.

Right up front let me put a disclaimer: this is not a *short* game.
I bought this as something fun to do when my best friend came to stay with me for a weekend. We're both true crime fans, so this seemed like a great idea. After watching a movie we hated we busted out the game, thinking it would maybe take a couple hours and we could watch another movie after before calling it a night.
SIX HOURS later we are dying laughing as we finally solve the case. We weren't laughing because the game was funny - we were laughing at our own stupidity.
As we had read statements and articles we would stop and discuss, trying to discover motives and guilt amongst the sizeable case file. Once we got through all the paperwork and it was time to submit our first guess online we realized we had done it all wrong. The first thing we had to submit was EVIDENCE for why to open the case. We had to toss aside all our hair-brained accusations and start scrutinizing everything all over again.
I'm sure this could be played in less time than we took, but I don't think it was ever going to be the 2 hours we had originally planned. We may have been delusionally laughing at 2 am because of getting hung up on something stupid, but it was so worth it!
The game was fun, with some incredibly cringey parts that you won't be able to help but laugh at. The amount of information and the way the game is presented is really great. I highly recommend, and look forward to being able to buy another one of these in the near future.

This was fun but learn from our mistakes. This takes awhile so don't start it late at night. Instructions were a bit confusing. We laughed a lot. This is a one time game because obviously you would know all answers. The only thing is to pass it on to a friend. Having said that it's too bad they don't code what is in each envelope so the next person could enjoy it. We had photos,statements etc all over the table.
