I purchased this because I have a 9 yo autistic child who is adult sized, really the same size as me. On outings she gets exhausted and plants herself on the ground. I thought we could use this to carry her back to the car, if needed. We tested it with my husband carrying me. I'm five foot four and nearly 200lbs and he's over six feet and nearly 300lbs. It worked well. Very well. Daughter was jealous and wanted a ride but every time we got to step 3 where you affix the second buckle she freaks out and drops to the floor. For my husband this meant near strangling. For me this meant extreme sternum and clavicle pain when she drop and rolled only half buckled. We wanted to be done with it but she kept begging so we kept trying. We have finally given up. Clearly she's too scared to be fully buckled in despite a desire to ride in it. This renders it useless for our needs but the product 100% does work you just have to ask yourself if your intended rider is going to comply.

We are using this as a carrier for our 5 yr old. It's far better price compared to, for example, the $300 freeloader. We like how small it folds down to for traveling and it's surprising comfortable to carry. We were braced for all the weight being across 2 inches on the top of our shoulders. But it's actually distributed well across the chest and shoulders.
The construction also seems very quality. Heavy duty fabric and sturdy feeing straps.

I use this for my 4 year old when we are walking long distances and it works great! It's designed more for adults as it says in the description so he can't necessarily see but it saves my back and arms when he doesn't want to be carried and I can't take a stroller with me!
