Turns out that there is a high correlation between the weight of a lithium battery and its AVALIABLE or working amp hours. For 20-volt batteries the equation is usable amp hours equals weight in ounces divided by 5.7.
This would not be the case for other kinds of batteries, but for this common battery, the weight is a good thing to know before taking a chance on bargains that seem too good to be true. I could go on, but you get the point here. Being able to carry a scale to the point of purchase of anything where the weight is important is a good thing.
This use for an easily carried scale is not mentioned in the advertising, but for it, this scale is perfect.
