We received one of these special Bonne Maman preserves samples from our daughter just before the holidays. It was so much fun opening it and tasting the various flavors, that I bought one for each of my brothers, and they had fun opening and tasting them over the next month. I am 72, my spouse is 67, my brothers are 76 and 65.

The media could not be loaded. This would be a great gift for somebody, the jars are hard to get out so be cautious if giving to somebody old or with a weak grasp. I am only four days in and today's jar had a lid that was already popped (not sealed) despite still having the seal on it so I have to throw that one away, which is a shame because it is a pricey item. Hopefully there are no more like that in the box. The jars or just the right size for one or two pieces of toast in the morning.

My mom loved this so much last year, I bought her another one this year and one for myself. My only issue is that I believe it's supposed to have 24 different flavors but my box had multiple repeats. And I think it's a little on the pricey side for jelly, although the quality of the jars and the advent box are top notch.

I bought this as an Advent treat for my husband, who has a sweet tooth. He had a great time opening one of the doors every day to find a tiny jar of Bonne Mamman fruit spread. There's a different flavor every day - some of them were pushing the envelope a bit far (pear and cocoa nib spread?) but they were fun. I'd be cautious about using this in a home with kids as the jars are so small they really aren't shareable. Perfect for one guy with a sweet tooth. I'll be buying another next year.

The packaging is lovely however the jars are extremely difficult to remove even with both hands. I suppose it needs to be this sturdy as it's shipped from a great distance. Ultimately after a few days of fighting with the box, I removed all of the jars and randomly chose out of a basket. I loved, LOVED several of the flavors and actually emailed the company to see about purchasing them in a larger size. They wrote back and said you can't get them in larger size because they're only available in the advent. Also I have no idea what two yummy flavors I missed because my advent had three (3) Fig & Cardamom. Not one of my favorites. I don't think it is worth the money, because of the difficulty with packaging and flavors unavailable in the larger size.
