This product is entry level and works for my main purpose of the clamp measuring 120V AC current. I cannot verify that accuracy, but displayed values are reasonable and it does measure consistently. 5 stars is based on the kit as a whole at the price point for basic home use.
Hold and Max functions capture general uses, but it won't measure fast peaks. The main unit and the handy outlet tester are ETL/Intertek listed, but the line splitter is not. Internally it consists of ten turns of enameled wire connected to the neutral line.
As a multimeter the 3 1/2 digits is minimal, the accuracy is not great, the leads are cheap, etc. but it is useful if you don't want to carry a second good meter in addition to the clamp meter.
One annoying quirk is that although the 10-minute auto power off can disabled, the clamp meter will continue to beep every ~10 minutes. On the other hand, the nice backlight display will stay on the whole time (either until auto power off or manual OFF) which is great for dim areas. The clamp meter works fine with 3x AAA NiMH batteries.
