I purchased this item for a 13.5 gallon tank housing 2 goldfish. While it is not rated for that size, I thought I could make it work as I only needed to drop temp by 2 degrees or so.
As others have mentioned, the instructions aren't very clear but between my husband and I we eventually got it figured out.
It dropped the temp in my tank 4 degrees F in 4 hours! Needless to say, I am quite happy with this item.

At first I was hesitant, the instructions are poor. After messing around for a bit I realized how easy it was to set up a temperature and the range. It keeps my hydroponics bucket at 67 degrees and it's set to heat or cool within 2 degrees of that temp. Claims to be able to turn on heat or cool or auto. I can only figure out auto mode which is fine. No Fahrenheit option. Not a big deal. For the price and it's function, it's perfect.

The media could not be loaded. I bought 3 of them they work so good I use in 10 gallon dwc 6 gallon and 3 gallon and they keep the temp at 68 degrees with ease! Definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to keep they're hydroponics system at the temp u want 10 gallons or under !
