I bought the lock for my patio access door. Installation was easy until I hit a snag. The small cable that connects the front keypad to the inside part white the battery pack was defective. If routed through the small round hole as indicated in the instructions it bends so much that when the inside part is bolted together it losses power. I tried putting it together many ways without success. I reached out to customer service and they were super responsive and I guess this is a known issue as they sent me a replacement unit right away. I found that if the cable is routed through the higher part of the mounting plate it does not bend as much and works fine. Now is all working ok and so far it's been two weeks working without issues. Overall very happy with the lock and very impressed with the level of customer service.

This lock was recommended by a family member because the love it. We ordered and installed the lock and it was shorting out. We immediately contacted Customer Service and Winter helped us out. She was awesome. Very through and followed up on everything. They sent us a second lock and asked us to send the first one back to be tested. The second lock has been amazing! I love that I know my house is always locked but my sons can get in the house with no key.

Installed lock several months after purchase. Followed instructions in manual but couldn't get the keypad to setup correctly. Had a video chat with very charming Hellen and she got me straitened out and added another year warranty. Lock is very solid, easy install and smooth operation.

Bought the first one NOV22. It was easy to install. The fingerprint feature never worked but the keycode, tag and app did.
That one lasted 3 weeks before failing to lock/unlock. The deadbolt basically wouldn't move.
Contacted supplier and they sent a new one.
That one lasted 7 months before doing the same. The batteries need to be changed every month or so.
I've contacted them again but I think these are just too cheaply made to be of worth. They're protecting your house and family. Or rather they aren't when they don't work!

The media could not be loaded. I initially purchase the Smonet deadbolt fingerprint lock April 2021. I am a caregiver for my Mom who is suffering from Alzheimer's dementia and I needed a lock that would alllow access to CNA, Aids, physical therapist and family members without needing to pass out a bunch of keys. I solely rely on the fingerprint because of my situation. The best thing about the fingerprint option is that you can add and delete prints in seconds. The app is easy to use and understand. The initially installation and app setup took about 35 minutes.

It is now 2023, and my Smonet lock suddenly stopped locking and opening. :( I contacted Smonet which was initially frustrating because I am a baby boomer who is used to calling costumer services and talking to a live person. However, Smonet replies to you through via email which frustrated me because I have 24k emails so I thought they didn't rely at first, so I contacted Amazon and waited until I got a reply from Smonet via email.

CSR Mr. Jackson, began to troubleshoot with me via email. It was frustrating at first because I am 60 years old with minimal technical capabilities, thankfully, Mr. Jackson was very patient and knowledgeable of the product. After several troubleshooting attempts, Mr. Jackson requested a SnapChat. Of course I had to download to my phone. When we snap chatted, I was pleasantly surprised that he spoke very well and very clear all the way from China :-). He had me perform some troubleshooting while he closely watched and immediately determined the issue. The issue was the locking mechanism. Mr. Jackson immediately applied for a replacement. I receive my brand new replacement within a few days.

I'm so eternally grateful for the support, respect, knowledge and patience I received! As a caregiver the support that I received is extremely limited in this world so I changed my review to 5 stars because Smonet earned it!! FYI. Do purchase the extended warranty!
