I do not usually write product reviews. If I hate something I send it back. If it performs as expected then I keep it and am happy as this is what I expect. I purchased this item because the TENS unit that I have been using was requiring more and more "power" to give me the same results. In addition the cord I was using kept falling out of the "hole" in the unit.

I bought this particular device because it had a TENS function, the unit was very similar to the unit I was using, I didn't want to have to learn how to use a newfangled machine, it was within what I was willing to pay and, I have to be honest, the red color was cool. I have used it a couple of times now and there are a few things I would like others to know before they purchase this device.

1. It is very powerful! Granted my old device was probably losing power somehow (I don't know how these things work) but I was using my old device at a rating of 8-9 and with this device I was only able to tolerate a level 3. This is fine but I would caution others to take it one step at a time until you get used to how much you can handle.

2. Others have made a big deal about the velcro bands that go around the cords. They are nice but with the time it takes to get them on and off a rubber band would do the same job for less time.

3. There were only two "2 electrode" cords for each "pole" (I think that is what they are called - you know the A and B holes in the bottom of the unit) of the device so you either have to use 2 cords (to get 4 electrodes) at a time or only use 2 electrodes at a time with one cord. I personally don't like this. I have been using a cord that has 4 electrodes and I have another cord with 4 electrodes so if I want to I can use 8 electrodes at a time (4 for the neck and 4 for the back). I usually only use 4 electrodes but with this unit I have to deal with 2 cords rather than one. It is just a hassle. I will probably just buy another 2 cords with 4 electrodes each. It is really not a game changer but now they won't match.

4. It is a small issue but the case (while very nice and sturdy) is too small. It is only large enough to fit everything in that comes with the unit BEFORE IT IS TAKEN OUT OF THE CASE. Once you unroll the cords and take the electrodes out of their bags you will never be able to get everything back in as nicely as it was before you touched everything. I know that as soon as I purchase extra cords and electrodes I will have to transfer the contents to a cosmetic travel case just like I did with my old device. Again, not a game changer but annoying. They could have made the case a little bit bigger. I think most people buy extra electrodes that won't fit in this case. I am happy with the case itself however I will use it for something else.

All in all I will definitely keep this device as it does what I expect it to do. I like the red color. I just wish they had extra red electrodes in the size that I use as well as red 4 electrode cords and I wish that the case was a bit larger.

For a first time user, the directions could have been a little more informational. I'll experiment with the product and see what i can discover

I like this product. So many options to choose from. You can use up to four pads for your pain.

I bought this for a coworker because it was effective at my back issue, and I knew she'd benefit as well... and she LOVES it!
