I never tried the original Tangy Tangerine for comparison, but this one does have a slightly bitter taste. Tip: I find mixing it with Spindrift sparkling water in the Mango Orange flavor takes the bitterness away. Also, there are always tiny balls of powder that never dissolve fully and I feel that I never quite get the entire serving of vitamins per scoop since there is so much powder that sticks to the interior of my glass...
As for efficacy, I haven't used this consistently enough to notice a difference in energy yet, but I'm using this successfully to help me replace coffee in the morning and I also appreciate having one less pill to take as it replaces my Garden of Life multivitamin.
