The safe is not fire-proof. I am using it to keep some jewelry and cash secure in my home where I have many people coming and going. I am tired of hiding my jewelry and cash around my house and then forgetting where I hide them...I'm still looking for a pair of earrings I hide 6-months ago:-....I nearly returned this safe because I could not figure out how to program the code.
The directions say to press the re-set button, located inside the door frame, yellow light goes on, with door open enter 3-8 digit code, then press "A" (C/#) or "B" (E/*) button...WTF does that mean??? I followed their directions over and over again but the code would not set.
As a last resort I pressed the re-set button, I entered my code then I pressed the # button...That was it!!!
I closed the safe door, entered my code number, followed-by # button, the green light came on and the safe opened. Using their directions: option "A" press C/# or option "B" press E/* did not set the code.
