Definitely isn't the worst bit to buy, not the best either. When you compare the cost to quality, it balances out to be a solid 4 out of 5. 1st use was on a Red Cedar slab and it did fine. I recommend buying one if you don't like losing the high $ bits or paying for them.

I only do home projects as a hobby and I do not have a lot of experience using a bit like this. I made a router sled to do surfacing and it seems to work OK using this bit. The bit seems solid and cuts well. I can't compare it to other bits as far as quality of the cut but I feel like it's OK for basic projects.
