Just pick it up and go blow some leaves for about 20 minutes before battery quits, then use the other battery! Nice to have two. I found that was acceptable performance and I could get a lot done if leaves were dry. Be aware if you connect the warm battery to charging station, the light will be green as though it is charged. It won't switch over to "red" until it has cooled then it charges nicely and will switch over to "green" when done, which is about an hour. Would purchase again.
