I have been using low cost calipers for a long time. I bought my first set at HF & loved them. I later found I could buy the same thing cheaper else where. In the last 30 years I have been through about 5 of them not counting a Grizzly mistake I made. One one died of it's own doing & the rest I've lost or damaged. I've left them outside & it rained, Left them in a building that froze & the rest I will let you know if I ever find them again.
These are the second most expensive I have bought but they also look made much better. The wheel is better then what I have used in the past & I love the large display. It is very easy to read.
I don't know what else I can say about it. I have no cons & this will fit my needs perfectly.

I was expecting this to be a full 12 inch caliper based on the description, but it will work out for me regardless for measuring small parts and tubing. Quality is excellent and is real metal. Rare these days. Display is nice and big for my old eyes.

I am not really using this for any kind of high precision metal working stuff. I am using this for 3D printing and general measuring. Mostly using it to measure stuff that I am using in CAD to design stuff to 3D print. It is working well for what I am using it for. Feels solid and works well. Large readout is easy to read. I am happy with it. I got the 6 inch version and it feels a little unwieldy compared to other 4 inch calipers I have, but that is on me not the tool.

i was surprised at the quality of this product. Much more heavier then products at my local cheap tool store. I like the way they give you a set of extra batteries too, that was nice. The tool itself is in a blue plastic case and keeps it safe from accidental drops. The measurements are easily switchable into different units, including metric and US inches which is great. I didn't see the max width it measures but i'd assume it's less then 10 inches abouts. The roller works fine and you can just manually pull it wider as well so it functions easily. Overall impressed with this little caliper. Should work for years.
