I decided to go with an electric grill as I'm sick of propane tanks and propane or charcoal grills. Their too much of a hassle for myself any longer. This grill is cute but FYI is rather short, and I'm short. It is rather a pain to put all the small parts together but nothing mind bending. All the wing nuts/washers and bolts were already in place for each piece so I didn't have to sort through a bag of parts. They even give you a few extras in a separate bag. I did as instructed and ran it on high for a bit to get whatever film or coating burned off...P U! That smelled fairly toxic so run away. I have mine out in my sunroom that consists of a bunch of sliding vinyl windows with screens, so I have cross ventilation to use this grill semi indoors. I'm in FL so I don't want this getting funky due to the humidity outside. I don't feel like buying a cover either.
So, I did lay down some heavy duty foil over the very bottom of grill. Not sure I'll keep doing that as I do have a small steamer that really melts any grease residue off easily. Also (and I'm not advising it in any way shape or form) but I didn't attach the heating element to the body with the bolts. Its snug and will not move. This way I can pop it off when things cool down to clean the heat reflector plate, etc. Then just pop it back in/on.
I also have an adj cast iron expandable grate I set on top of the actual cooking grill (it just barely fit). That way my food isn't too close to the heating element to possibly burn. I also plan to get https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZI4IA3/?coliid=I2UJSEI1IRHQIZ&colid=2X0LH7VPHOCVU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it and either hang it in from the top vent holes or drill the correct size hole in the grill dome and screw it in place. I want to know what temp is going on inside. It's not all that expensive and I'm a handy type person.
Well for the lower end price (got it on sale) and not having to buy propane any longer I hope this works out as I have no idea on the longevity. I only grill occasionally but if the heating element ever burns out you can hopefully get a replacement, I'll have to look into that. I might use this more for slow roasting once I get a thermometer installed and see if this can keep an even temp. Any severe issues: I normally come back and edit my review. Thanks for reading, hope this helped.

For an electric, it’s Good

This grill is smaller in diameters than I expected, but a perfect size for a patio where space is limited. It was easy to assemble and directions were clear. This grill is short! So if you're taller than about 5'6 I think you'll have to bend while cooking. It's easier to clean than some similar grills.
If you're cooking for just two people, and for one meal, the grilling area is adequate. The cooking is fairly even; acceptable to me. The temperature control is not precise so I end up cooking mostly on high. I previously had a Char-Broil electric grill and, overall, it out performed this one, but for the price of the Techwood I'm ok with the value.

Great small grill for when gas isn’t an option

Well made grill good for 2-4 people servings, takes a little bit to get to operating temp so give it the time to heat first before you put your food on it to cook, but it does a great job once it's upto temp. Once you get used to cooking times of an electric grill you will love using it and always get the perfect outcome on whatever you're cooking and it doesn't make much smoke so that's kinda nice. Just take a test run first with something simple to cook so you learn time vs heat on it etc. Definitely recommend this grill for situations where gas is not an option.
Works great! Easy to assemble & clean.

UPDATE: this grill has worked very well all summer long. I've been cooking with it a lot; chicken, steak, hot dogs, brisket, sausages, etc. I wanted to mention how easy it is to clean! The grate itself is easy to clean, and it's easy to wipe down the nonstick surface of the heat reflector underneath the heating element. After about a dozen uses, I decided to do a deep cleaning. I only had to remove two wingnuts (where the heating element plug is mounted) to do the cleaning, which was very handy. It cleans up fast and easy!
FIRST REVIEW: The first unit I received included absolutely no fittings or hardware. I had to return it for a new one. But, at least the return process was fast and easy. I've used this grill a couple of times now, I believe enough to leave an initial review. This was easy and fun to assemble. Some fittings and hardware came pre-installed. I had no issues at all following the directions and assembling it. They provide everything you need for assembly, except a #2 Phillips screwdriver. The grill works very well. I installed a temperature gauge, because I thought it really should have had one come with it. I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0853474XL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_R31Y1NYN69MMG6V82KT8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 (see photo) and it was easy to install. The grill heats up to 360°, but no more. Fortunately, that is quite sufficient for pretty much every need I have. I cooked kielbasa sausage and hot dogs on it so far. The heating element does a good job of covering the entire area on the grill surface. I'm looking forward next to roasting a chicken on the top rack! This Grill is also easy to clean. I just take the grill rack into the house and wash in the sink. With the grill rack removed, it's very easy to clean the heat reflector plate below the heating element. I just wipe it away with a damp cloth. Perfect size for us two, and plenty of room for more. My HOA can't say a thing, since there is no open or enclosed flame. Easily stores in any closet or shed. So far, we love it! But, four stars for no temperature gauge and limited maximum temperature.

I purchased this electric grill to take to Florida for memorial weekend since the condo resort did not allow charcoal or gas grilling on the balcony. The assembly was easy and worked like a charm. I took others suggestions and covered the drip pan with foil for easy cleanup. Although, the grill did flame up a couple times while on high temperature. Once I understood how to control the heat, all good. If you cook at the lower temperatures, the grill shuts on and off to manage the heat. The heating element continuously stays on at the higher heat settings which is when the grease drippings would cause flame ups. Also, I soaked some mesquite woodchips to add in while cooking to give the meat a grill flavor. Everything came out moist and delicious. I'm a charcoal girl all day but this electric grill definitely served its purpose.
