So Easy to Start - Lightweight with Lots of Plastic
Kay Crayton✓ Verified Purchase•September 16, 2023
There is a lot that I love about this lawn mower and some things that I don't. I love how easy this lawn mower is to start. Once assembled with the batteries charged and in place along with the key inserted, all it takes to start this lawn mower is pressing a button located in the middle at the top of the handle and gripping the bar under the top handle. Like other lawn mowers I have used, this grip has to be pressed for the lawn mower to stay on. I love how light weight in comparison with gas lawn mowers this lawn mower is. The drawback it does not cut as wide of a swath, but gets the job done. The electric engine is not as powerful as the gas mowers I have used. I have a patch of thick zoysia grass and do cut it using this lawn mower. I've been successful doing this by adjusting the deck which is easy to do. I know I need to adjust the deck when the lawn mower quits running because the grass is too thick. The rest of my yard has much thinner grass so this isn't a problem. My yard takes about 90 minutes to mow with a push mower so it's impossible to cover the yard without needing to recharge the batteries. I haven't timed how long the batteries last. When the grass cutting seems to get harder for the mower that's when I know it's time to recharge the batteries. There are 2 batteries and an included charger designed to charge both batteries at the same time. I like the grass cutting collection bag as stuff does not shoot out of the side of the lawn mower. This lawn mower does make lawn mower noise although it's quieter than a gas lawn mower. This lawn mower also has a 'cool' factor as my neighbors immediately came over to see it and ask questions the first time I used it. With rising gas prices, apparently an electric lawn mower looks pretty neat.
This is the first lawn mower I've ever put together and it was not easy for me. I think a quick guide is needed as I had to refer constantly to at least 2 different parts of the manual to understand what I needed to do. I was puzzled about the handle for the bag and searched throughout the box and packing materials. I found the handle and the key which is a small rectangular piece with 2 prongs in what I think of under the 'hood' in the front of the lawn mower. The key fits into a spot under the hood a bit above and between the battery holders.
What I don't like about the lawn mower is it has a flimsy feel to me. On one side, I have quick-tightening screw just above the wheel that doesn't want to tighten. The other side is fine. Apparently I'm adjusting but when first using this lawn mower, the handles would buckle down. I'm not having that happen now. I do like that the handles came attached to the lawn mower and only had to be unfolded and tightened. Once mowing season is done, the bag can be removed and the handles folded down for easier storage. My rating is 4 stars because despite what I dislike about this mower, the sheer ease of starting it makes up for a lot. I'd rather use this lawn mower than a gas lawn mower.

It wasn't bad

Mower served its purpose but required multiple charges for a mid-sized yard. It also doesn't like long grass at all. Fairly good Mower for the price. Unfortunately, my daughter left it in the yard while she waited for it to charge and some one else decided they liked it too so she only had for a few months before it was stolen
Love my mower

This is the best lawnmower I had in years not only does it run quietly but it cuts my grass to perfection and the batteries last a long time for my big yard so I highly recommend this lawnmower if you like a light a Quiet toy
The Einhell is so lightweight, even an 87-year-old (almost 88) can mow the lawn with ease!

I have a really good mower, a self-propelled Toro. There aren't any issues with my mower, but I do have to tune it up yearly, buy gas, sharpen the blade, etc. It is also much, much heavier than this Einhell. The beauty of this Einhell is that it cuts as well as the Toro with several advantages. There's an 87-year-old in this house who would like to mow the lawn but "¦ no way can he push that Toro, self-propelled or no.
Despite the fact that the mower is lightweight, the box that the Einhell came in was huge and heavy. I removed the batteries, the charger, and the extra cardboard. I cut down the side and pulled the mower out to prevent injury of any kind. I got my toolbox out and was ready for assembly, however, I didn't need any tools whatsoever. Just how good it that?
The charger is a fast-charging unit and within an hour or so, I was out cutting the grass. The blade was a bit low as I was churning up the grass. No problem, because in seconds I was able to raise the blade. I didn't have to struggle at all to adjust it. Everything on the Einhell is ergonomically designed, right down to the handy carry handle. After I was done, I used that handle to lift the mower up and into the barn.
In addition to be quite handy, the cordless Einhell will lower my carbon footprint. No more gas, no more oil, no pollutants going into the air. I'm quite impressed with everything about this mower, including the price. I'm always very budget conscious, but could see myself buying an Einhell had I tried it out. I'll list the pros and cons as I see them below.
PROS:
1. Lightweight
2. No tools needed for assembly
3. Rapid charging batteries
4. Keyed for safety "¦ it won't run if the key is out, a plus for those with children
5. The blade height can be adjusted to six different heights easily
6. The batteries will fit other Power-X tools
7. No need for any kind of fuel
8. Large 11.9-gallon capacity grass catcher
CONS:
None
